This is a boutique hotel with an awesome lobby bar where dogs are allowed. We were greeted by 2 fantastic girls at check-in that loved our dogs, gave them treats and water and petted them for a good 5 mins while we got situated. Later in the night after taking our dogs out to the local brewery (not leaving them in the room per most if not all hotel's policies), we had night caps with the Louisville crowd who loved our pups.

We picked this hotel because they advertised it as a dog friendly place. The front desk staff (Deja) was friendly to our dog, but that's where the kindness ended. We left our dogs in the hotel room while we toured what Louisville has to offer in the middle of the day for just a few hours at a time and upon returning received complaints about our dogs barking from management (Amanda) threatening to kick us out of the hotel if they received another complaint and advised us their pet policy states guests can’t leave pets unattended in the room (which it does NOT).
Then at night we got another phone call from another manager (Bradley) yelling at us about the same complaint from earlier and stating how upset he was with us since this experience gave them a bad review. Dogs bark! It’s what they do! And ours, by the way, were not once barking ever when we left or came back. We had to literally change everything we wanted to do on our vacation to accommodate the dogs now. The day we were checking out, we left the dogs to pack the car only to get another complaint from the GM (Katy) and that we had to leave. If you’re looking for a dog friendly hotel, look somewhere else.
