Mel and the wonderful ladies of the Erie Red Roof Plus are probably the most friendly hotel staff I've encountered in a while.
Their love of dogs is evident, as they help to socialize rescues and therapy dogs. A Yellow lab helped with my check in 😁 Mel remembered my name and that of my dog the next day.
The rooms are not fancy but clean, comfortable and are good value for the price.
There is a nice, safe little walled greenspace where you can walk your pup.
A note to visitors with dogs: Please pick up after your dog! Many here do not, and remember that being able to stay here with your pet is a privilege that we could all lose because of the few irresponsible and selfish folks who think that the rules don't apply to them.

Room was renovated and clean. It's small if you have 2 dogs above 50 lbs. Place with grass for dogs. I will return for sure for one night.

Thanks to BringFido, this was our first time staying at Red Roof with our little Lucy. We were welcomed by Tula, who was kind and capable. She signed us up for the rewards program to help save us money! We found the room to be warm and comfortable—perfect for an overnight stay. Very close to a gas station and convenience store. There were linoleum floors, which was nice to not tempt our Lucy, but some may prefer other flooring. There were no dog bowls or beds for our Lucy, which would have been a nice touch. We are excited to keep using the app!

I have been traveling from Colorado to New York. I’ve had three stops this being my last out of all three hotels I’ve stayed. This is by far the best the front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy and quick. This hotel has been fully remodeled. The room had hard floors was clean and very comfortable, they have a backyard area that is fantastic for dogs. I was so thankful to finally be in a good hotel I gave it three stars simply for location. It’s right outside of downtown Erie in a not so great part of town as a single female with a dog, I felt very uncomfortable, even walking the perimeter of the hotel. The city hospital is right up the street so you do hear lots of emergency vehicles.
