Our first stay at Candlewood based on Fido reviews. The property was above average but we had unwelcome guests. The room was crawling with cockroaches. I stepped on a half dozen in the middle of the night and the next morning they were in our clothes. When I reported this to the manager his reply was "Oh, sorry about that, I‘ll call an exterminator." I did leave a generous tip for housekeeping because it’s not on them but on in incompetent management!

For the price, the hotel is very accommodating. The rooms have good kitchenettes, making the stay with the pup easier; i.e. you can get groceries and cook/eat in. The rooms are clean and nice. They also specify a pet fee, but did not charge me one. Maybe they forgot, but either way it was nice!
