  Fabulous location

  Hotel is located a short scenic walk to the gorgeous Asilomar Beach. Dog friendly rooms and great staff!
  Bountiful breakfast served daily with fresh savory coffee.

  No frills but adequate, great location. I would stay here again, unfortunately the mattress was not very comfortable.

  Great All Around

  The staff as usual were nice and friendly. They have wine hour and make your own waffle breakfast. Also hard boiled eggs, pastries, bagels, etc. It was so peaceful and relaxing to be there, my dogs loved it too!

  No real hospitality and got the OLDEST room in the place

  They claim to be renovating, but they still have OLD, like, 70's era carpet in the room we were in. Thankfully, NO smell, just really old, worn out fixtures (literally, color worn away from the sink and shower), and up some really scary stairs. Open stairs where my dog would have fallen through if I didn't carry him each way. Only UP sides were the fireplace, quiet location and the large room. Downside, thin walls, really old fixtures/furniture, and zero sense of "welcome to the Inn". None at all! Price was really high for what we had, even mid-week, and we definitely won't be recommending to others. It's sad really. Has a lot of potential, but nobody we encountered seemed to care. Anything would have been nice. A smile, a "hello" from any team member, fresh water (the tap water smelled like pool water). And lastly, there were "holes" under the carpet in our 2nd floor room, and I definitely had the feeling I would be falling through the floor any second.

  Wonderful

  Great experience! Walk to the beach, full breakfast, wine. Nice outdoor seating. Room was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the popcorn. Dogs were happy too.

  Great experience

  Nice facilities, great location, very comfortable room. Super bathroom and comfy bed. Good parking. Only minor drawback was a lack of good doggie potty space. Would definitely stay again!

  Convenient and dog friendly

  The staff was efficient. The grounds were maintained adequately. The inn is a two star budget property. Our room was dirty and needed to be remodeled. We liked the popcorn maker in the room. The bed was comfortable.

  Fun Stay at Pacific Gardens Inn

  Stayed several days with 3 adults and two Irish Setters. Our ground floor room was clean, large and comfortable. Many places available to walk dogs, and the beach was an easy 5 minute walk. Dog friendly staff very considerate and helpful. Dogs had a wonderful time at the beach and there was a hose available to rinse off sand and salt. We look forward to returning in the future.

  Friendly staff, great location and amenities

  My brother, dog and I had a great stay here. We stayed in a two bed room, which also had a separate living room, and full-size kitchen. The living room was cozy and included a fireplace, which they provided wood for. The location was perfect for staying somewhere quiet, but close to the main street in Pacific Grove, and some walking trails.

  Great Location!

  This hotel had an amazing location, maybe only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. Very quiet also, away from road noise. The owners were very friendly and loved our boy! We would definitely stay again, we had a great time!

  Friendly accomodations for people and pets

  We only stayed one night on a long distance relocation travel tip with our dogs. We arrived late (past 10PM) but they were ready for us and very helpful. The room was comfortable and cozy for us humans and our 2 dogs - especially the in-room fireplace. The next morning the hosted continental breakfast was fantastic. Much more than just the coffee and pastry. There were hot items too. Excellent baked goods, cereal, waffles, bagels, fruit. So we can highly recommend. Too bad we couldn't stay longer because we weren't on vacation.

  Lots os space

  We stayed at the Pacific Gardens Inn for two nights off-season in January with our cavalier King Charles spaniel. The room was very clean and large enough to move around and not feel cramped. We loved the wood burning fireplace! Breakfast was great with pastries from a local bakery, make-your-own waffles, cereals, etc. the beach is just across the road and through the grounds of Asilomar Conference Center, a very pleasant walk,. There is also a nice boardwalk that runs through the dunes. Would definitely return.

  Rustic relaxation

  Pacific Gardens Inn is a rustic and cozy getaway for anyone with dogs who like the beach and friendly people! The staff and owner are very courteous and accommodating to all of our needs.

  Great Place!

  Have been staying here for years now. Clean, spacious and friendly plus the price is awesome. Close to restaurants, 17-mile drive, beach and shops. This place is over the top wonderful. Very pet friendly and our Max loves it here.
