Establishment was accommodating to our large dog. He settled in right from the beginning. He is a nervous dog in new settings. We enjoyed this hotel. It’s presented as an old establishment. The amenities are welcoming. Heated pool was pretty to look at but still too chilly to enjoy during our stay. The fire pit was more to our liking. The rooms have been updated beautifully. The shower experience was by far the best EVER! The water pressure blasts away any travel woes (TN). Shampoo cream rinse body wash is beautifully worked into the classy wall dispensers. Clean comfortable king bed. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again.

Just loved this hotel, so friendly and welcoming. Upgraded us to beachfront so pup could just get out the door and onto the beach. Poop bags were provided at every entrance, not that I needed, but such a nice gesture from hotel. Will be going back. ❤️🐶🐾
- RickJun 5, 2023Great Location!!
Great little hotel! Rooms and grounds are well maintained. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Easy walking distance to town.
- DavidMay 31, 2023Gorgeous waterfront property
Surfside Hotel in Provincetown’s East End has 88 rooms and suites, all of which are dog friendly. The staff is super professional and friendly and paid special attention (including treats) to our dog. They accept larger dogs and charge $43 per pet, per night. Sounds like a lot but if you consider the cost of boarding Fido, it’s worth it. It’s great to go on vacay with our dog.
- KrystinaJul 3, 2022Great location
Our lab puppy loved the private beach to play on. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They even gave our pup treats on check in. The only little downfall is the lack of grass in the area for potty time. There is one little section, but we made it work.
- MelissaJun 27, 2022Great getaway with the pups!
They get that dogs are family!
- KimberlySep 3, 2021Super Pet Friendly
Great spot, very welcoming. Beautiful views. Great location.
- AliciaJun 18, 2021Great place we already want to go back
We were a bit nervous as we've never taken the dogs away with us. Great location, private beach. They allow dogs on the beach all day and off leash during off hours. Upon check in they gave us a bag of treats for the dogs. They provide a breakfast each morning. The room was clean but older, it needed to be repainted. We booked a ocean view and it was beautiful. Even have a porch area with chairs to enjoy it.

Great dog friendly hotel. Beach is fun for off leash romping in the sand. Very friendly, highly recommended!
- LaurieOct 24, 2019Amazing getaway
Rick and I have wanted to go to Provincetown for years and finally made it happen with our boy, Kona, who is a 100 lb chocolate lab. Luckily we booked in time as the hotel is soon to close for the season. While it was quiet at the hotel and in the town we loved our experience. Everyone at the hotel, especially David, was so kind and welcoming. The hotel was in great shape and the breakfast and afternoon snacks were a great touch. We would return there happily. Also, it's a nice walk to town from the hotel.
- SueSep 26, 2019Great location and perfect for traveling with a dog. Would definitely recommend!
- JenniferJun 13, 2019Great Spot for you and your Dog!
My husband and I have two German Shepherds, and have traveled with them from Bar Harbor, Maine to Anna Maria Island, FL with many spots in between. Surfside Hotel & Suites in Provincetown, MA sets the bar quite high as far as dog friendly lodging goes! We often have trouble because of their size, but not at Surfside! They are very welcoming and offer a great experience for you and your dogs. The dogs are allowed everywhere on the property except the pool area. They are allowed in the lobby (and are greeted with treat!), inside the bar, around the fire pit area, and most importantly, on the private beach where they are allowed to run off-leash during certain times of the day. In addition to it being a great place to stay with your dog, Provincetown in general is welcoming to dogs and there are many restaurants with outside seating you can bring them to. Surfside allows you to leave the dogs in the room if you’d like to go out to dinner, as long as you provide your phone number in case they need to call you. Dogs are allowed at Race Point and Herring Cove Beaches, as well.
- JennJun 13, 2019Great Quick Stay!
We stayed at the Surfside for a quick night away with our 7 month old golden retriever. We all loved it- it is right on a private, dog-friendly beach (there were even hours posted that your dog could be off leash- which is never really allowed on most Cape beaches!). They had complimentary treats for Gio and we were able to bring him by the fire pit while we relaxed with a couple drinks. There was even a dog wash station to rinse him off after swimming and rolling around in the sand. The room was clean and comfortable- we had the ocean view and loved falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing below. The staff was super friendly and attentive as well!
- JohnOct 14, 2018Terrific
We stayed October 5 & 6 in an oceanfront room with our Cavalier King Charles, Libby. The room was terrific, as was the view. The hotel buildings are on opposite sides of the street. The street handles a lot more pedestrian traffic than cars as folks walk to town (It took us 40 minutes strolling to town and stopping occasionally.)
Quite pet friendly. Provincetown is the most pet friendly town we have ever been to.
Breakfast is ok. Scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal, etc. The bonfire at night is a nice gathering place.
We will definitely be returning. - AllisonMore than a year agoExactly what we hoped for!
The staff, the grounds, the drinks ;), and everything else were lovely. They really know how to make a dogcation wonderful!
- MichelleApr 14, 2018Buster's Favorite!
Buster loves going for long walks on the beach, especially when the tide is out; sometimes running, sometimes rolling in something delightfully stinky. No worries! Surfside has a nice little hose/doggie wash set up as you come off the beach. We always get a waterside room, with a balcony and a great view of the water. He loves to lie on the balcony in the cool breeze when not on the beach. There's a fridge and a microwave for the Mommas to use, which makes them happy, but not as much as the continental breakfast or sitting around the gas fireplace at night with one of the Surfside's toddies. And Buster gets to hang out, too! The staff loves Buster and gives him cookies. Overall, our fav place to stay in Ptown as a pack.

We loved it so much! That we’ve been here 4x’s now!
Right on the beach, great rooms, great beds, breakfast provided, oh so dog friendly, great restaurant next door! And a market we can walk to ! For supplies! & Centerville Pies!
