  Perfect Stay!

  Loved the room and was able to bring my Lab pup to Happy Hour! A great place right next door to hotel to throw the frisbee for my dog. A few miles away was Tallac for her to go for a swim. Next time we are staying here for a week!!

  So many dogs!

  Dog bags provided. All the dogs were friendly. My dog even played some with one of the workers dogs. Plenty of areas to walk our dogs with a trail nearby that was great. They even gave us extra towels and bowls just in case and there was a bag of treats at check-in.

  Excellent Spot

  The Fireside Lodge is family owned. We, and our dogs, were greeted in a wonderfully friendly fashion. We were given a tour of the Lodge which included the snack bar, breakfast bar, wine and cheese area, game area, and a fabulous collection of DVDs, outside fire pit, and patio. Our room was clean, wonderfully appointed with small kitchenette, including a good sized fridge and coffee area, fireplace, and blankets, towels and bones for the dogs. We will definitely return to this outstanding location.

  Great family owned and run business

  So many nice touches- fresh cookies in our room, happy hour, s’mores at the BBQ pit, made to order breakfast. Minutes away from National forest trail and close to dog friendly beach. Room was small but efficient. Owners so friendly and accommodating. Our dogs were happy too! We would stay here again! Five bones review.

  Best Dog Stay EVER

  I honestly don’t know how to start on how much we loved staying here with our pups. To start with cleanliness, it was immaculate. The room was cozy and very comfortable. The bed was great for our road-sore bones. The extra bed for the dogs was comfortable too! I was able to cuddle with them on it, and the clean sheets they provided. They also provided dog bowls, human utensils, cups, and basic kitchenware.

  The dogs are allowed everywhere humans go (as long as their not super aggressive, obviously!) and they have plenty of walking and potty spots for the dogs. The social areas had great energy and plenty to do. From roasting marshmallows/making s’mores to air hockey. Not to mention a great breakfast with stimulating conversation. Okay, now about the wonderful staff there. They’re mostly family run, and it shows! So accommodating, and all the little touches they added to every room you walk into.
  I could keep going with all the wonderful things, but, you should go experience it for yourself!

  All about the pups!!

  This is by far the friendliest dog and people friendly place! Great recommendations for food and things to do. Definitely recommend!

  Perfect Getaway

  The cabin was so quaint and cozy my fur babies were so content. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel so welcome. The complimentary breakfast, wine and cheese happy hour, and s’mores by the fire made for a perfect getaway. The lodge is decorated with an adorable bear theme. We will definitely stay here again!

  Beautiful cabin style Lodge

  The family that runs this lodge was very welcoming and nice. They allowed us to bring our 2 Saint Bernards and Great Dane puppies. The rooms are very nice to stay in. Would definitely stay here again but with 2 rooms with that many dogs!

  Unforgettable

  This place is a must. They were so hospitable and incredibly animal friendly. They provided blankets, bowls, poop bags, and even treats for the doggies. The location is unmatched. The staff makes you feel like family. I'll absolutely be returning.

  Overall Amazing Place to Stay

  This place is the best place to stay with a dog. They don’t just allow dogs; they cater to them and love having them around. There are so many thoughtful little extras at this place for both the dogs and humans. Definitely worth staying here. I would love to come again.

  Unbelievable

  They cater to you and your let much more than I could have possibly imagined. The amenities that are included are Incredible. So close to Tahoe. The hosts are the nicest people I’ve ever met. You have to take your dog here it’s worth it !

  Friendly and Intimate Stay!

  We decided to come to Lake Tahoe last minute for Labor Day Weekend. Looking at all the availability that also were pet friendly, led us to Fireside Lodge.

  We didn't arrive till Friday at 9PM, but the owners were so accomodating that they left a key for us. We reserved the last suite and it was the perfect size for 2 people and a midsize pup. I wish the bathroom was a tad bigger, but everything else was just spacious.
  I especially loved the outdoor space and the field across from the lodge to throw the ball for our dog. The owners loved our pup and were so friendly and gave us many great recommendations.
  On our last day after we checked out, we left some items behind. We came back for them and they helped dig through the trash to find our stuff! The hospitality and care was just top notch. Thank you!
  Oh, and breakfast was good. Loved the waffles.

  Pet freidnly but could be better

  Great place for the pet but my cat did not like because of all the dogs ! not their fault but well it does not allow me to give them 5 star!

  Best Place to Get Stuck in the Snow

  My fiance and I brought our two medium sized dogs here for a fun snow weekend. We ended up getting stuck an extra day due to weather and could not have been happier about it. The staff was wonderful, pleasant, and welcoming. We borrowed snow shoes from the lodge for free and spent one day exploring. The happy hour was a nice way to relax after playing in the snow, and making S'mores outside in the snow with Alex was so much fun! They are so accommodating with pets, our dogs loved it as much as we did. We also enjoyed the arcade and waffle bar! We will definitely be back with our pups soon!
