Household pets are allowed at Cherry Plain State Park Campground, but they must be caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet long. Proof of rabies vaccination is required, and animals are not permitted in buildings or bathing areas.
Cherry Plain State Park Campground is located on 175-acres in the Taconic Valley. The park has a sandy beach on Black River Pond, with a bathhouse, picnic area, and boat launch nearby. Biking, boating, fishing, hiking, hunting, and picnicking are popular in the summer, but visitors use the park for ice fishing snowmobiling, and cross country skiing in the winter as well. The campground has 10 RV sites and 10 lakeside tent site available from /night.
