Description

Blue Heron Campground is set along the South Platte River, which pioneers followed along the Oregon and Mormon trails. In town, you can visit an authentic Pony Express Station and the Sod House Museum. Or, take Fido for a walk on the nature trail at the campground, and you're likely to see deer, rabbits and beaver dams along the way. Afterwards, you can enjoy the swimming pool and game room, or play tetherball, sand volleyball and horseshoes at the playground. The campground has 50 amp service available, and can accommodate rigs up to 60 feet. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, snack bar, firewood and propane (for a fee).

    Beautiful shady campground

    Great spot to stop for an overnight. I was surprised and excited to see all the trees and shade. It was 95 degrees when we arrived, so shade was wonderful. Clean, nice, safe campground.
