Dogs are allowed at Deer Creek Cabin, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. For more information on pet restrictions, please call (307) 886-5300.
Deer Creek Cabin is a historic Forest Service guard station, located approximately 13 miles from Alpine, WY. It was constructed in 1933 and is available for reservations year round. The 2-room cabin has running potable water, a flush toilet, and shower available during the summer months only. The kitchen has all the basic amenities (sink, stove/oven, refrigerator, table and chairs), but no dishes, or pots and pans. The cabin has propane heating and lighting and sleeps five people on two sets of bunk beds, and one single bed. Linens and bedding are not provided. The maximum capacity of overnight visitors inside the cabin is five people. Winter access is by snowmobile only on a groomed trail.
