Description

Enjoy one of Florida's most significant historic and nature preserves, known as the great Alachua Savannah. The 22,000 acre park is great for hiking, bird-watching, fishing, picnicking, and bicycling. There is a primitive group campsite available with a waterless restroom, grills, horse hitching areas, picnic shelter and drinking water, or you can opt for the full-facility campground near Lake Wauberg. Sites there are surfaced and there are many places for electrical and water service. It's a nice, shady spot not far from the parking area.
