  Great Location!

  Clean rooms and property conveniently located in the heart of Dewey Beach. Great coffee shop on site. Under new management and being updated. Everything within walking distance. Would have given them 5/5 bones until a misunderstanding regarding the pet fee - still waiting to hear from management about compensation.

  Don’t Stay Here

  I have never given a bad review, but here it goes. Too much noise and construction. If it wasn’t construction noise it was the place beside or above our unit. There was no office or lobby open, and if you have a complaint, good luck!! There is dredging about 300 yards of shore to bring sand in for the adjacent hotel beach replenishment; it turns the water black and there is a horrible putrid odor. There was mold on the shower curtain and the room was damp. I called the number on the “temporary office” door with no response. The noise kept the dogs up all night barking, so we thought we cancel and find another place to stay. Of course I was denied a refund. Save yourself some time and money and book elsewhere.

  Great dog area

  Took our two dogs for the first time and it was amazing. Very clean room, very friendly staff, great patio area with a closed gate for us and the dogs! Close to the beach. Can’t wait to go back in the fall!

  Great location but that is it!

  Badly in need of renovations. I know they allow dogs but there were holes in the wall in our bathroom and a broken toilet seat, and paint peeling off the bathroom wall!!!! Terrible condition. Front desk staff not very friendly either.

  Great stay

  We had a terrific time at the motel. The room was VERY CLEAN, the staff was helpful and very friendly. The pool needs to be cleaner and the stairways need to be cleaned, but this is a doggie hotel, and it is wonderful!!

  Overall Great Experience

  Spent two nights with two pups over 50 lbs. The room had enough space for two adults and the two big dogs. Besides the two staff members that were at the front desk at night and the morning we checked out, the staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Would recommend it.

  It was just fine

  Nothing fancy, got put on the 3rd floor (no elevator) with 2 very large dogs so kind of a pain, but also just happy to find somewhere that allowed two 130 lbs + dogs. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast was very basic. About a block up from the beach. lots of stuff to do around here with the dogs which was great. Definitely could stand to be updated.

  Great location, but odd issues

  We enjoyed staying here - the bed was comfortable and the room as a whole was well sized with plenty of amenities in the room. The odd issues though - we had a room where the shower did not work (fortunately we only stayed one night), and we could not get to the ice machine as it was in the guest laundry that needed a key code that was not provided to us. Location is perfect in Dewey. Beach, shopping, and restaurants all within walking distance.

  Gemma loved it!

  We loved everything about this motel! Location was perfect… we could walk down the street to the beach. It was very dog friendly… dogs even welcome on the second floor decks that were beautiful. Room was absolutely lovely, wonderfully clean and it had a fridge that had a freezer that worked! Reception staff were very warm, helpful and welcoming, as was the gentleman who prepares the morning coffee. We can’t wait to go back with Gemma!

  Always a good stay!

  We have stayed at the Atlantic Oceanside Resort for 3 years now and always have a great experience! It’s a motel that’s been remodeled in recent years. You are a short walk from the beach and local bars and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable with a mini fridge and the basics. There’s nothing over the top about the room, it’s not a luxury hotel but it’s comfortable, and of course, pet friendly! The owners and staff are great and there are plenty of other fellow pet lovers staying at the motel each time.

  Perfect!

  First trip to Dewey Beach and booked this hotel due to the location. The staff is very friendly, great location, and very dog friendly. In fact most people seemed to have their pups with them. I'd definitely recommend!!

  When we arrived the hotel had our reservation starting on the next day. They quickly did some scrabbling and was able to put us in a room for one night then had us changing rooms. After a short period, they had shuffled rooms around and allowed us to stay in one room the entire stay.

  Location location location!!

  This motel could not be better situated in terms of location to bars, restaurants, and the beach. They are super dog friendly, as is the entire beach town. I will definitely be staying there again. It’s hard to find places that will take 100 pound American bulldog, however, this place did with no problem. A note to late sleepers: be sure to bring ear plugs. It’s a motel and it is a little thin walled.

  Almost perfect.

  Easily accessible to the beach, nice pool, upper deck, and parking too. We got a double room which looked about a year or so into a previous renovation, but it was everything we needed (clean) and soooo close to everything. The tub was slow to drain (so we didn't use it for our short getaway), the walkway to the room is a bit tight and smelled a bit funky. Overall, it was great for our short time there and would definitely consider coming back!

  Awesome Hotel

  This was our pups first trip to the beach and it couldn’t have been greater. Our King Suite with kitchenette + patio worked perfect for myself/hubby and Gwar our 10 month old ACD. Clean, friendly, great location to beach and shops. We can’t come back quick enough!

  Close to beach but a 1 star place to stay.

  Yes they take dogs but our room smelled so bad. I hate that smell. We traveled across country and stayed at dog hotels and this smell was not in any of them. No carpet floors which is understandable but less cozy. Popcorn ceiling falling apart. Shower knob broken. We had to ask service for our tv. All fairness the staff was great, the place just really needs a face lift. I rated 3 star because of location.

  Close to everything!

  This location is perfect! Short walk to the beach, to the bay, to some really good food spots.
  They provided a list of pet friendly restaurants upon check in.
  Great price. We REALLY enjoyed our time there.

  Great location!!

  A football field away from the beach, almost as close is where you go for dog licenses. Nearby grassy spots. Very inexpensive pet fee. Nice place.

  A very pleasant surprise

  We weren’t expecting much from a motel in the heart of a bustling beach town, especially for the incredibly cheap rates. There is off-street parking available and the motel is steps from Dewey Beach which is incredibly dog friendly. Abner, our golden doodle, loved the experience, aside from the noise of other guests coming in throughout the night and the noise of the busy town, but you’ll have that anywhere. The rooms are updated and very clean with a fridge, microwave and TV in each. There also are dozens of places within a short walk to eat, drink, shop, and you can just jump back on the beach from most side streets and get back to the motel quickly and leash free. This is a great little place for a cheap weekend getaway to the beach with your pup.

  Dogs rule!

  The Atlantic Oceanside resort was a pleasure to stay. We had a nice clean quiet room and it was Labor day weekend. Nice breakfast, bring it out to the outdoor seating and enjoy the start of the day. Very short walk to the dog friendly beach (Certain hours)

  Great hotel for the price!

  Newly redecorated, laminate floors (big plus), great restaurants within couple of blocks, on ocean side 3/4 block to ocean, great staff, very comfortable stay! I’ve gone there for several years and always had a great vacation.

  Just ok

  My family and I found it was very noisy with other patrons in the hotel. There were multiple loud parties on numerous nights. We enjoyed some of our stay considering the restrictions set by the pandemic and CDC standards. In short, if I was asked to stay again I would not.

  Excellent stay amidst COVID-19 uncertainty

  We are in the process of relocating from SC to NY and needed a pet-friendly place to stay in Deleware. This resort was super friendly, neat and accommodating despite all the COVID-19 chaos and it being their off-season. We had a blast and would gladly stay here again!

  Close to beach, friendly staff!

  The staff here are really welcoming and helpful. The motel is just a short walk from the beach, which is open to dogs in October. The staff provided some bags to pick up after my pup and they had free treats for dogs and humans in the lobby. The room is not luxurious- thin blankets and towels, and the floor is laminate wood, so mine was covered in sand from our beach play session. There is only one parking space per room, so be prepared if you have more than one vehicle for your party. This place was comfortable for our short stay, and reasonably priced.

  The most Dog Friendly Town!!

  I’ve never been somewhere where dogs were sooo welcome! The stay here was amazing, the staff were extremely friendly and very helpful! They gave us tips on places to eat and how to get to the ferry. Treats were abundant, the hotel clean, friendly staff, and amazing beach!! I would definitely go back!!

  Great location!

  Great stay here! Lots of friendly dogs and their owners, and close to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable. The only drawback was the advertised complementary breakfast, it’s mostly bread to toast, cold cereal and store mini muffins. Skip it and eat elsewhere.

  Great location. Not fancy. But, Within walking distance to everything including dog friendly restaurants and cafes. The hotel offer a nice continental breakfast with indoor outdoor seating and their own specialty coffee cafe. Fun rooftop longe area to view the sunsets.

  Suites are Great, Too

  We stayed at the suites location, about 10 blocks north - nice, big room, plenty of space for 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 goldens (and we had the smallest room). The room and property were really clean. It's a nice, easy walk to the beach.
  The resort staff are really friendly and helpful!

  Taking hubby this time...

  My dog Scooter and I had such a nice time here last year that this year we will bring hubby along. Very nice hotel, clean and well run. Perfect spot for quiet walks along the beach and checking out the other furbabies while watching the sun go down. I think my husband will enjoy it too!
