Self check-in was nice and easy! Price was great and extremely comparable to other pet-friendly locations in the area.

The room was very clean and updated, but nothing special for the pups.. On the main road in town with an easy drive to beach. The owner/manager was nowhere to be seen, all done by phone. Not the best but it worked for the overnight.

This is place is very dog friendly if you're looking to travel with your pup. There were at least 6 dogs during our stay. They have a small motel strip, around 6 free standing cottages, and an additional 2 story hotel. Buildings are very close each other (ie property isn't huge) so if your dog is easily distracted you may have a hard time as you'll see people coming going walking around etc. The property also isn't very far off the road so there is a fair amount of traffic noise as well. There is a fenced pool area (no dogs) and plenty of seating around - lounge chairs, picnic tables, grills, and other dining sets and swing seats. Great location close to everything and very friendly staff. Nice grassy areas for pups and it was clean. Only downside, we stayed in a cottage and the photos definitely make the space seem nicer, bigger, and newer than it really was. Felt like we traded some quality in order to bring the dog, especially for the price. Shower was extremely small also: felt like barely enough room to turn around. Water was hot though!

This place was amazing! It’s located just a couple minutes away from amazing and delicious restaurants and cute shops. Judy and her son were helpful in answering all our questions regarding pet friendly beaches and what their recommendations for popular food spots. They are taking all necessary precautions due to covid. My husband and I and our pooch will definitely be back! If you want to feel at home away from home, while traveling with your furry companion, this is the place to go!

I've been taking my dog Lani to the Beached Motel & Cottage for 3 yrs. Lani loves the cottage, it is clean and super accessible to all the dog friendly activities Wells has to offer. We go the same week each year and so do many of the other repeat customers who Lani has now gotten to know as vacation neighbors !

If you don't have to be on the beach and you like the played back non-corporate lodging, this is the place to stay. We are two big humans so the bed in our room made sleep a bit cozier than we like. However, who goes to the beach to spend a lot of time in their room. Late evening on your semi private porch, owner and mom are fantastic, and the pool was inviting. Within seconds of checking in the owners beautiful and sweet mom was giving me detailed directions of points of interest that was also pet friendly. She was so helpful! We look forward to staying longer and getting one of the cottages. Saxon our dog had his best sleep there.
