      Great hotel

      We love Douglas House. They like dogs, have very nice rooms and even provide parking. The neighborhood dogs were sometimes not happy when I walked my dog down the street. They have a nice pool area too.

      Very comfortable rooms with a great location. Very pet friendly. Would definitely stay again.

      Great location

      It place was fine for having a dog however key west is lacking in grassy areas in general. I suggest checking in and heading down Duval to Catherine to the bank or finding another similar area to quickly get you pup to potty areas. The Douglas house in general was just what we needed. It was convenient to walk to pretty much anything and they let you leave the pup for small amounts of time unattended so we did get to enjoy the pool.

      BEWARE NOT DOG FRIENDLY

      WARNING

      There is no place on premises for dogs to do their duty. One must leave the premises and walk a block on a street bustling with pedestrian and vehicle traffic, turn right on a narrow side street and find an unmanned parking lot that has a 29x 20 patch of weeds for the dogs to do their duty.
      Owner informed us he preferred dogs that don’t bark after ours barked twice when startled.
      To use the pool and grounds area we had to exit the hotel, and use the sidewalk then re-enter the hotel and walk past the office or through the lobby to get to the pool.
      DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A PLACE YOU WOULD WANT TO STAY WITH OR WITHOUT A DOG?
