This is a remodeled old motel with all rooms on one level and parking outside each room. We spent one night here. We had a nonsmoking room. It was spotless with a wood vinyl floor. Even though the description says small dogs only, they allowed our 99 lb German Shepherd to stay there; .if you have a big dog, just ask when you make the reservation. Next to the motel is a large unfenced grassy area where our dog could do her business. About a 5 minutes drive down the road is Historic Kuttawa which is on the lake and has easy walking trails and a wooded for walking your dog.

Hotel was very quiet especially considering we stayed on a Saturday night. Beds were comfortable. The room was the cleanest hotel room I’ve seen in years. Smoking rooms are available which is unusual for a hotel, so make sure when you book online, you choose whichever you prefer. I almost picked a smoking room by accident as it was slightly cheaper. The hotel has nothing around it, which is great for keeping it quiet. There is a Wendy’s, a southwest grill, 2 gas stations, and a Tesla supercharger less than a mile away.

It wasn’t the greatest motel but I’ve stayed in worse. Room smelled of smoke, bathtub didn’t drain, and stain that was easily missed by housekeeping. Told I was getting pet deposit back on Tuesday of following week (was told this Saturday morning as I’m letting them know about the stain and bathtub issue). They were nice. Also not much for breakfast.

The rooms are nice and clean. Shower/tube is nice and clean with good water pressure. Furnishings in good condition. Linens clean and in good shape. The clerk at the front desk was very friendly and explained all the charges very clearly. But, for a non-smoking facility this is not the case. The room smelled very heavily of smoke. Luckily I come prepared with my spray deodorizer and also an ozone device. I have asthma and cigarette smoke is the worst trigger for me.

Nice little place. Renovated in 2017. Clean. Attractive. First floor/outside entrance. Clean nice place to walk dog. Friendly personnel. Hot breakfast. Good price. Would definitely stay again! Highly recommend!!
