Although the area isn’t the best the hotel is great and I have no complaints. Personnel are very nice and helpful. Check-in is easy. Very close to the freeway but not a problem with the noise.
The "green space" for the dogs would have been great, if not for the homeless encampment directly next to it, that provided plenty of random garbage and a scary vibe.
Room was clean well kept. They made sure we were on the ground floor and near an exit so taking the dogs out was easy. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only disappointment was the lack of dog park as stated in their description on their site. The “park” was a dried up drainage ditch with a gate that was clearly being used by some homeless people and as a kids’ hangout for smoking and drinking. Too dangerous to let pups run free.
I never go anywhere with out my dog, he is older and gets anxious if I leave him. La Quintas pet policy makes so many things possible that I could not do if the dog couldnt stay with me.
