The Sunset Motel welcomes two pets of any size in designated rooms for an additional fee of $30 per pet, per stay, plus $100 damage deposit that is only refundable if the reservation is canceled 72 hours prior to date of arrival. Both dogs and cats are accepted, but pets must be crated if left unattended. There is a designated grassy pet relief area behind the hotel. If you like retro, then this is your place! Andy has done a great job bringing back the 50s/60s motor court! Take a step back in time, bring your dog and enjoy the town of Brevard, white squirrels, and nostalgia!
It was smaller than we expected but made do ok. Even though located in busy traffic area (easy to get to lots of great mtn sites) - the bonus was the spacious green area in back of motel....chairs, hammocks, plenty of exercise area for our Husky (but not fenced/keep dog on leash).
Everything was great! Room was clean and ambiance was sweet. There is some road noise during the day but w/AC on wasn’t a problem. Would definitely stay here again!
This old motel has been tastefully updated with period decor and is extremely comfy and a short walk to downtown Brevard. No touch check in/out but we did briefly meet the nice owner. My dog loved this motel and we really appreciate that our room was as nice as all the others and not some being stuck in a crappy dirty "pet" room. The only downside is the occasionally noisy street traffic which could be a problem for light sleepers.
