The Kimpton Monaco hotel was warm and welcoming. The room was very nice, people very friendly. I would have liked my own coffee maker in the room instead of offering it in lobby in the morning. And bottles water in my room instead of expensive spring water. other than that very nice!

From the first interaction through the door and check-in, my blue nosed pit, Luna, was an immediate celebrity! The staff were so friendly and our room was clean. There is plenty of green grass area around the hotel for your Fido to use the restroom. The hotel offered free wine hour, which was amazing after a long day of travel! I will definitely stay at the Kimpton again!

The location was perfect. There are parks across the street making it very convenient for Charlie. Great area for our own sightseeing, and the very walkable that we all enjoyed.

The Kimpton Monaco is now my favorite dog friendly boutique style hotel. I also love the Kimpton Nine Zero in Boston, and the Graduate New Haven for similar reasons, but this Kimpton by Independence Hall in Philadelphia is now my favorite.
The decor is stunning. You can self park in a nearby parking garage for less than $30 a night with unlimited in/outs, the neighborhood is packed with great food options like Spasso Italian grill with its fabulous veal porcini, Ishkabibble’s II for excellent cheesesteak; loads of museums close in, but importantly for travelers with dogs: the Monaco is in a safe neighborhood full of lovely green parks to walk your dog. There several right across the street from the hotel entrance.
The staff are genuinely welcoming to guests and well behaved dogs. The Red Owl cafe in house has great food and a full bar. The hotel has a complimentary wine happy hour which guests seem to love and appreciate since the lobby lounge area to sit and talk is so charming, and there is coffee included with your stay in the same spot in the morning.
The cleaning staff keep the rooms mint and fresh, no doggy smells from former guests and everything was immaculately clean.

It was great to get a break from the generic hotels and stay in this modern boutique hotel in the city center. Very pet friendly. Had treats at check-in desk. Only downside was that it was difficult to unload our stuff bc had to double park - probably normal for a big city.

We had a good time staff was accommodating and friendly. Valet took awhile, but it was busy at check out. My dog enjoyed the stay, and the rooms weren’t too loud so he only barked once due to slamming hotel room door. Park across the street near the Liberty Bell.

Right in the middle of history. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ON TOP FLOOR! There is a night club that was pounding until 1am first night. They offered to move us, but with pups at 11:30 pm unpacked it wasn’t really feasible. Beautiful rooms though.

The location is great. There is a small park directly across the street and is surrounded by historical sites. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. We were worried we wouldn’t find parking because we have a large truck but they found us a place without us having to drive around.

Hotel was nice and in a good location. The issue we had was with the valet. When we needed our vehicle one night we were told it was inaccessible. At checkout we received a message that there weren’t attendants to retrieve our car and it took an hour and a half to get it. When it came back my headphones were missing from the vehicle. The hotel is nice, but we valet service needs improvement.

Beautiful hotel and dog friendly space. I didn’t need any bowls, beds, etc but it was refreshing to meet staff and guests who also love pets. Lots of space nearby for walking day and night.

Fantastic location in the heart of historic Philadelphia. Being pet friendly is a bonus and definite draw. The hotel is decorated in an eclectic and fun way. We loved our accommodations and so did our pup. Can’t wait to come back!

This was an amazing stay. The location, the price, the upscale elegance, and the design. Everything was absolutely on point. This is a fantastic place to stay, and their accommodation of dogs makes it all the more worth it. 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone

cool hotel, very accommodating front desk staff and a great location.
no USB port, one chair - we knew we wouldn’t be able to sit inside a restaurant on a weekend and expected we would need to bring a meal in to our room - had to sit on the floor as there was a bed with white comforter and 1 chair at. wall desk- we thought we would each have a chair, just two of us in the room and one chair

Everyone was so helpful and accommodating during our trip to the area from upstate NY. Visiting a sick family member in the hospital was much easier knowing we had a great place (with kind staff) for our entire family to spend the night.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with large and clean rooms. The staff — from reception to housekeeping to room service — were all so friendly with our pup who is 50lbs and has a lot of energy. It’s located right next to an open grassy park, which was perfect for bathroom breaks and general romps.

We never knew our dog was a city dog, but Philly brought out his true colors! He enjoyed walks through the city. Most of all, he loved all the added pleasures of staying at a Kimpton Hotel! We will be back!
