Frederick William House welcomes one pet up to 40 lbs for an additional fee of $125 per stay. Only the Seaside Suite is pet friendly. Guests with pets must call (877) 411-3436 prior to booking to verify availability of a pet-friendly room or risk not being able to check in with a pet and/or incurring any associated cancellation penalties. Both dogs and cats are allowed, but pets may not be left unattended in the rooms. There is a grassy area for pet relief on the property and a dog park one mile away. Pet crates are required.

Bring Fido folks we’re fantastic! They called to make sure a dog-friendly room was available and when it wasn’t they asked for alternatives. The owner agreed to let us stay in another room on the property. This place is fair, but walls are thin (you can hear other guest conversations) and it’s right off a main road. While convenient, if your dog doesn’t adapt easily or is nervous in new environments this may not be the place for you. They also charge a pretty hefty pet fee, yet we found a dirty wash cloth and lots of dust in the “hypoallergenic” room. That said, it was convenient to town, family, and places to walk our dog.

This B&B exceeded our expectations. The room was lovely – light, comfortable, nice adjoining bathroom. The small touches were much appreciated: candies in dish, chocolates on the dresser! Jeanette (owner) made us feel right at home – the continental breakfast was beautifully arranged and just right for us (fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese). Coffee and tea were always available in the kitchen. The best part, though, was that the inn is located on the Shining Sea Bike Path and a bike rental is included in your overnight stay. The bike path is great for dog walks, as well. There is also another great park right across Palmer Ave (Goodwill Park). Very easy to get out for walks with our pup.
