The Lucerne Inn
The Lucerne Inn welcomes two pets of any size for an additional fee of $25 per night. Only select rooms allow pets. Guests traveling with pets must call (877) 411-3436 prior to booking to verify availability of a pet-friendly room or risk not being able to check in with a pet and/or incurring any associated cancellation penalties. Both dogs and cats are permitted, and well-behaved pets may be left unattended in rooms. There is a grassy area for pet relief on the property, and waste bags for cleanup are provided.

Dog friendly rooms are on the first floor with easy outdoor access and a very nice area to walk. The rooms are older but large. Our room had one queen bed. Nice touches: great shower with whirlpool tub, heated towel rack and a fireplace( not on this summer visit).
For travelers a downside is no fridge or microwave in the room. Room was clean and served us very well for our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We were able to order dinner and eat outside comfortably with our dog nearby. Great stop if heading to Acadia or downeast.

Safe Stay: The Lucerne Inn has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available.
