      High pet fee

      $75 per dog per stay is more that steep. Add to that the $75 deposit, and that's a hard pass for us, traveling with 2 dogs.

      We felt spoiled!

      What a fabulous experience! Pup was happily welcomed, room was beautiful! Nice little touches with soft drinks and coffee available 24/7. Great bike path right behind the hotel to take our dog for walks! Hotel was amazing!!

      Doggone Hospitality

      We have never stayed at a dog friendly hotel before, so this was an experience for us. First I would think there would be a grassy area for a dog to do their business. Instead, there were little tiny patches of grass between the landscaping. Next, I don't know how to handle a dog that barks in a hotel when there is noise in the hall. We received a noise complaint phone call from the front desk. The man above us was trying to sleep. I don't think the plan of comingling dogs and people in the same hotel is thought out so well. Our stay as humans was great.

      Corner suite with two rooms so dogs feel more at home. Stairway goes right outside if you want to skip the elevator. Park kitty-corner for quick walks.

      Neat/Clean/Cozy

      Clean hotel, pleasant staff, quiet. No issues. The Iron Ore Trail is directly behind the hotel for a walk/run. It seems to be well maintained and potentially well lit ar night (we ran it during the day but there are light poles along it).
