      Nice hotel but...

      The hotel looks nice enough, but they had given away my 2 queen bed reserved room to someone and had no other options except a king bed room or 2 separate queen rooms. With the dog situation that didn't work so a king it was. They thought the room had been cleaned but it had not been. The night staff did their best but basically had to make the bed, collect all the towels etc needed for a night stay. Didn't get a shower curtain. So after a 10 hour drive basically did maid service in terms of necessities but room had not been cleaned. After all of that, no offer for a rate decrease, free breakfast, nothing. I get people are short-staffed but if they hadn't given away my room in the first place maybe the rest would not have happened.
