Quirk Hotel Richmond accepts two pets up to 60 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per stay, plus a $75 refundable deposit. Guests with pets are assigned to rooms on the second floor. Quirk is gorgeous, the facilities are great, and the staff is very accommodating. My dog LOVES staying at both locations (Richmond and Charlottesville).

Quirk was a great choice for a short trip to Richmond with our pup. The staff was super kind and dog friendly. Their indoor and rooftop cafe are also dog friendly making it easy to snag a bite to eat or sip a cocktail with your furry friend. The white noise machine in our room was great to help with background noise so that our dog could settle in easily to sleep.

The hotel was beautiful and was about a five minute walk to Charlottesville’s downtown mall. The front desk staff was great, especially Josue. However, I did have a couple issues with the Quirk. I didn’t find it particularly dog friendly. There was a nice grassy area to the right of the hotel but they had no doggie station, luckily we always have dog bags with us. We just had to locate a garbage can to deposit the bag. Also, we were charged a $25 valet parking fee, even though we never used the valet. I did try to contact the hotel for a refund but never received a response. A little disappointed.

Dog services weren’t terrible, but everything else was. I’m actually going to dispute the charge. Most overpriced horrible service and accommodations in the history of hospitality.

Safe Stay: Quirk Hotel Richmond has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place, and follows the GBAC STAR (Hyatt) cleanliness and sanitization policy. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay. Social distancing measures are in place, and contactless check-in and check-out are available. Hotel staff are required to wear masks.
