We had a great stay at the Cardinal Inn. The rooms were warm and cozy. Easy to take our morning walk in their yard and along the main road which had sidewalks on both sides and plenty of crosswalks for miles in both directions. Convenient location in the Smoky Mountains for all our activities.

The reservation process was very easy as was the check-in. Beautifully done rooms with a few unique extras provided. Our German Shepard was very welcome here which made us comfortable, as did the welcoming personnel. Extra area outside for potty and sniffing time.

Wonderful staff, super clean rooms and great location. Very accommodating to pets with a great green area. Walk to fairgrounds, motorcycle museum, brewery and restaurants. Easy drive to Waynesville and Cherokee. We have stayed here multiple times with our two dogs.

My daughter, granddaughter and their dog and cat were traveling with me this weekend on a whirlwind trip from St Louis to eastern NC. Not too many places take a 70 lb. Shepherd/Husky mix. The Cardinal Inn is a TREASURE from beginning to end. We only spent a very short time there, but the hosts greeted us personally, made sure we had everything we needed and could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Next time through Maggie Valley, I hope we will have longer to stay and enjoy their hospitality. The rooms are large and comfortable, and your pets are welcomed, not just tolerated.
