This particular location had the best customer service we've experienced in a long while. They took care of us and our boxer baby. The entire crew on May 6 and 7th were on top of the game at the Tru Hotel in Meridian, MS. Thank you for an uplifting experience along with a clean bright room.

Hotel staff was friendly, but the room was dirty and the sheets were stained and very wrinkled. I slept in a sleeping bag on top of the mattress because it seemed the sheets were never changed.

I have 2 mini Rat Terriers, about 11 lbs each. The 3 yo did great. The 9 month was a little jumpy with all the sounds. How does that play into my review? It was probably the smallest hotel room (King bed) I've rented in a while and was not well sound insulated. After we turned out the lights we could clearly hear people talking. But that was the only thing that had an impact on my pups. As for the stay itself, the staff were so welcoming, the room super clean, and the bed comfortable. Universal negative not related to the dogs would be that the bathroom door in our room would not stay latched. Awkward when you are needing some toilet privacy. Overall, yes we would stay again.

Great place, great staff. The only thing is the rooms are pretty small and I wish there was more of an area for the dogs. Would be nice to have a fenced in place or something. Lots of grassy areas but hilly and slanted. Our dog didn't mind though. Nice to know there are places to stay while traveling with our fur baby!

Staff is super friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Having Bonita Reservoir park across the street is awesome for a run with the pooch in the morning before getting on the road. The hotel however could use a little better cleaning - it is under construction so I give them a pass for now.

The pet fee for a 10 year old, 10 pound well socialized obedient well mannered of 50 bucks is ridiculous! There is no in-room coffee, the place is spartan, and the rooms are small. The towels were small and frayed. The hotel is somewhat difficult to get to. On a good note the staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. This place is not up to Hilton standards and the pet fee is too high!

Accommodations were very good. Check-in was fast. Nice doggie bag. Enjoyed the breakfast. Excellent coffee. Rooms and facilities were very clean and modern. Price was right to boot. Would definitely stay there again.

There was not one thing we did not enjoy with this hotel. We made a very long round trip & stayed in many brands. This was by far our most enjoyable stay! Best mattress I’ve slept on…and we have a Sleep Number, we love!

The hotel was impeccably kept. The staff was awesome. This hotel is located in a non-sketchy location, which is unique in Meridian. The room, while not huge, was well appointed and had everything you need. The room was spotless and very comfortable. There’s a lot of grass for my dog, and a comfortable outdoor patio, where you can sit with your pet. I travel through Meridian several times a year and this will be my choice for overnight accommodations from now on.

Our first experience traveling with our pup. Rooms were very small. Hotel was clean. Front desk could not recommend dog friendly restaurant. Btw, we found La Piñata on our own. Dog friendly patio.

The staff was very friendly when I checked in, they were able to accommodate my request for a first floor room since I was traveling with my young puppy. The room was very clean and beautiful. The bed was comfy and the shower was awesome.

SUPER friendly staff, professional, knowledgeable and informative. My Dexter got a doggie bag of amenities upon arrival! There was a little bag of treats, a tennis ball toy, and poop bags!! I was given a bag with two bottled waters (much appreciated). The hotel smells SO GOOD and so fresh and clean... my room included. Everything is extremely clean and very modern chic. It's a nice change of pace from most hotels. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel.

It's a great location (very close to the highway and multiple food locations, Sams Club and Best Buy). The hotel is beautiful, they only ask that your dog enters at the entrance closest to the elevator instead of the front entrance (in case it's a crowded lobby or if there's guests that don't like dogs/are allergic). There's dog waste bags in the grass area for dogs, and at the front desk they'll give you some dog treats and a toy (and water bottles for human guests)! If you need it, they'll let you borrow a dog bowl for your stay too.
Dogs under 150lbs are allowed and they have no breed restrictions as long as they're under the weight limit (thankfully! I have a rottweiler and we've been turned away because she's a rott).
There is a fee to bring in pets, but considering they give you things to help make your pet comfortable, I don't mind at all.
If we ever come back this way, we will definitely be picking this hotel again! - ElizabethJun 28, 2018Great stay!
I stayed here wither my two mutts. The staff was so hospitable, and the room was perfect. I actually liked that there was no carpet in the room--feels cleaner that way. There's also a nice grassy area for doing business.

Had to stop in for a 1 night stay on a road trip with our 2 golden retrievers. We were pleasantly surprised!! Hotel has been opened for 2 months and the staff is doing a great job. It reminds me of the Aloft but a bit nicer with a free breakfast; bonus. They have two really nice exercise areas for the dogs and provide dog waste bags and a disposal bin. If we are ever in the area again we will make this a repeat visit.
