My girlfriend stayed here 3 years ago when my dog was a puppy and took some cute photos of all the dogs hanging by the pool area with fellow travelers. It was a magical time I wanted to recreate but my expectations of this stay were sadly not met. I prepaid $820 for two nights only to find out dogs are no longer allowed in the pool area, a new development. Had I not prepaid I would have driven home. I ended up hanging out with my dog on the room's front porch in 92 degree heat. I could've done the exact same at home for free in Venice, CA in 72 degree weather with free water access. The place is listed as pet friendly which I guess now only refers to allowing dogs to stay in your room for $50. With a dog, it was a complete waste of $820.
