Decent hotel, clean, very dog friendly.

After a long day driving, we checked into the Best Western Plus on Eisenhower in Harrisburg PA. The exterior and the lobby look like a typical BW very respectable. However, upon going to the guest elevator and then the rooms it goes downhill sharply. Visibly dirty-walls-floors-ceilings, carpets. The room was very tired and worn out but so was I and I decided to just stick it out.
We showered, got in the bed and turned on the AC and TV. You could feel the springs in the mattress, there were only 3 miniature pillows for a king sized bed. I wondered how I would get any rest. But the straw that broke the camel's back was the moldy smell pouring out of the AC system. I finally lifted the plastic front of the AC off and sure enough black wet spots all over the frame right in front of the filter.
My nose was burning and I was developing a bad headache. Sure sign of mold. By 9pm we decided we had to move for our personal safety. Having seen the overall condition of the guest rooms areas we saw no point in asking for another room. We found a room elsewhere and packed up and checked out. The desk person was completely devoid of personality, barely spoke and seemed more interested in continuing his cigarette break outside than helping us. Stay far away from this nightmare.

Possibly the worst hotel breakfast ever offered. They were out of most things and server didn’t seem to care. Get past that — bring your own pop tarts— and it’s all good. Easy check in. Location is OK. Plenty of room to walk the pooch. Quiet rooms and a nice big king bed.
