  Just OK

  The hotel is about 15 minutes off of 95, not what you may want after driving for 8 hours. Wished I realized it wasn't within 5 minutes off 95. The staff are super friendly and there are lots of restaurants or places to get food. They do have a nice breakfast that is free. There is no microwave in the room. Lastly there is a nightclub next to the hotel. My room was facing the nightclub and on a Saturday night I heard boom, boom, boom! Then all the arguments and loud laughing and cars honking their horns until 1am-ish. I will not be returning, ever!

  Ok stay

  The entryway smelled like stale smoke and was dirty. No one was at the desk when we got there for about 10 min. The area where the hotel is seems a little dicey, maybe not safe? The luggage cart didn’t carry anything small, only accommodated large luggage or hangups. The room was nice, but there was loose dirt in the corners. Soft bed and clean sheets. All I needed for the night.

  Got there absolutely exhausted from and 18 hour road trip. The guy at the front desk was very accommodating. Room was clean and very large. No complaints! I would definitely stay there again.

  All around great!

  We brought our Great Dane puppy here on her first trip to a hotel. We were super nervous to leave her alone but she did great and the staff said she would be fine and they’d call if we needed to come back. The front desk staff was very friendly at check in and check out. The room was clean and we had a great time! Will definitely be back!

  Friendly for families and dogs

  Great hotel 20 min from Savannah historic area and river. Not a lot of grass, but you can walk on sidewalk with grassy spots. Easy parking for our 20' Uhaul. If you are looking for a dog friendly activity, Oliver Bentley's tour (on BringFido) is excellent; two hour stroll with other dogs and a terrific tour guide. Stops for treats and water along the way. Would have given 5 bones, but for lack of a nice grassy area near the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

  ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!

  The hotel is absolutely clean! I am super picky especially to stay in hotels where pets are allowed. My two puppets Belinda, the maltese and Felipe the cavapoo are highly hygienic and we loved that the hotel keeps up with this very well. I saw the way they clean the rooms and I was very much impressed. The lobby was fabulous and the carpeted flooring truly aided my pups to run without slipping on a floor. The vinyl floors are very convenient for the dogs as well and there is no odor in the rooms whatsoever. The hotel is very modern and conveniently close to Savannah’s historical center! If your pets are small like mine Maltese of 7 lbs and a Cavapoo of 10 lbs you will be perfectly ok here.

  So clean!

  Vinyl plank flooring in rooms is a great idea! We got there at 5:00 and had to have a room on 4th floor but our dog’s ok with elevators. Room was nice but small. Breakfast was amazing. Good walking spaces for doggie. And lots of common space for reading or playing!

  Fabulous Digs for Dogs

  Our situation had a rough start, as they somehow did not have record of our reservation made a month and a half prior. The personnel on site resolved the situation rather expeditiously and the rest of our long awaited vacation was smooth and enjoyable! I traveled with my 2 special needs adult children, my niece, and a very anxious older husky. Our stay was seamless after the check in debacle was resolved. The rooms were stylish and comfortable and made to accommodate dogs of all sizes and temperaments. The walking areas were plentiful and my big boy enjoyed many new scents and textured paths. The breakfast bar was nicer than the ones I used to frequent back in my corporate travel days. The 24 hour (free!) coffee bar with available stevia packets saved my bacon myriad times. I am a coffee snob and I was impressed 😉☕ Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for fur parents and would gladly book another stay.

  Nice!

  The hotel was just what we needed. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and our room was on the first floor near the exit. There was also a nice big patch of grass for our dog to go to the bathroom. My only complaint was that many people did not pick up after their dogs, even though bags were provided. That has nothing to do with the hotel though! I would definitely recommend!

  Awesome hotel!

  We were on a road trip and wanted to stop at Savannah. This was a clean, modern, and one of the most dog friendly hotel I’ve been too. Nice dog area with refilled bags and dog treats upon arrival at front desk. Friendly staff!

  Stayed here for two nights in July. Was a great find and having been stationed across the street in the 90s, it felt like home. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go. Small rooms but nice overall.Would def stay again.

  Nice hotel, bad area

  My review is 5 out of 5 for the hotel but the area is not good. AT ALL. Scary. The doggy relief area was smallish. But they had bags and disposal. The room was small and updated. But my cat and dog felt at home in it. We only stayed one night and didn't get to enjoy the breakfast however everything looked delicious.

  Great service. Room was small but nice. Complimentary breakfast was very nice and had an outdoor seating area where our dog joined us. Staff was unusually nice and accommodating. Great value.

  I had such a good stay. Everything was clean and updated. My dog was able to relax in the room while we were at places that weren’t pet friendly. There are dog treats at the front desk and 24 hour snacks to purchase. We also took advantage of the free breakfast and wifi. Highly recommend.

  Hotel was friendly, clean & comfortable. Worth the 10-15 drive from city of Savannah, saving significantly over the overpriced hotels downtown. My pet had no issues staying here. The breakfast buffet was a 1st for me post covid-19, as we are from PA. & not as open about sharing utensils, etc. as down South. Breakfast offerings were the basic eggs, bacon, toast, yogurt, oatmeal & pancakes. Only glitch was the oatmeal was like wall paper glue from cooking all morning in the steamer, it just needed some water added to thin out, but overall, not bad for included w/ hotel. The best part of breakfast was the pancake-maker machine. It was hands-free and the pancakes themselves were quite tasty! Also, the gal at the front desk recommended the walkable, quick Mexican restaurant that was located in the adjacent strip mall & it was really tasty. Appreciated her recommendation. There was a friendly fellow there that seemed to do it all. Carry food to buffet, wiped tables & wash windows. Staff seemed to all work well together. The only issue was people (not necessarily guest of hotel) would drive through the parking lot too fast, so you need to be on the lookout. Overall, we'd have no problem returning to use this hotel in the future.

  Scary location - carpets smell

  I picked this hotel because of 5 bones reviews. VERY disappointed. Scary location - didn’t feel
  safe in the parking lot. Elevator carpets and hallway carpets dirty. Room and hallway smelled of chemicals. Dogs barking in multiple rooms - couldn’t sleep. I really don’t understand the reviews. For $300 night including tax and pet fees - not worth it.

  It was our first experience with Tru by Hilton and this place was a gem. New hotel with pet friendly flooring everywhere so no ' chemical' smell in the rooms. Staff member Patrice loved our 4 lb Daisy on check in. Good sound insulation. Nice pet walk area with bag dispenser. All in all for a minimal hotel well worth visiting. Not close to downtown though.

  Dog Friendly!

  Tru Hilton was very dog-friendly to our fur baby. She was welcomed everywhere we went in the hotel. We brought her down to breakfast and she was calm in the dining room and patio areas. There was a "pet-relief" area for her to use outside. She was a little nervous on the elevator and in our room because everything was so different, but she did well overall on her first hotel stay of her 6yr-old life! Thank you for welcoming her.

  Good breakfast

  The hotel is a little hard to find in the city. We thought it was closer to I95, but we found it after driving out of our way. We asked for a 1st floor room, which was wonderful as we were close to our car and the dog area. However, I wouldn’t stay next to an outside door again. The door was slamming all night long and we got a terrible nights sleep. Don’t stay in Room 129! The clerk checking us in was very friendly and knowledgeable.

  We stayed 4 nights, staff is very friendly. The place was very clean, was not expecting a continental breakfast. Glad to see a potty area on premises. Our doggo loved it with the wood floors, and clean sheets.

  Great hotel for the price. Clean. Very welcoming to my 150lb Newfoundland. Only complaint was bed was super squeaky and woke us up a lot. All in all great experience.

  Very Dog Friendly!

  We were very pleased with our stay. Rooms were clean and perfect for our one night stay while passing through Savannah. They have a dog water bowl and treats to greet your furry friend upon arrival in the lobby. The rooms were updated and very clean. The soap and lotion dispensers were cool and smelled really good. 24 hour coffee in the lobby was great! They had a small grassy area right outside 1st floor level for the pets to relieve themselves.

  The hotel was great for my Pete! The floors are hardwood so I did bring a bath mat from home so that he wouldn’t slide hopping up and down off the bed. The linens are weird and not my favorite, but overall the hotel was extremely clean, dog friendly, and a good location.

  A relatively new hotel about 20 minutes to historic Savannah. Rooms were clean, friendly staff, a little weird traveling during Covid-19 but they did manage to have a grab and go breakfast, which was a plus. Would definitely go back if in Savannah again.

  Clean, modern and friendly

  We only stayed one night while heading back north. The people were friendly the rooms were clean and modern. The only slight negative would be the size of the room. It was ok for us for a night, but could be a bit tight staying with the pups for longer. Small grass area right outside one of the doors for potty.

  Great experience

  The hotel is very clean and has a modern feel. They even send you a text message before check in to see if you need anything during your stay and the desk was able to let us check in a couple hours early so we could grab some lunch and let our pup stay in the room with his toys! Breakfast was nothing “special” but it was decent and filled you up. They have a little area to the side with grass for dogs to potty and provide bags. There’s a mall and a bunch of shops and restaurants right there so you don’t have to go far from the hotel. Overall, would definitely stay again!
