i wanted to break my 8 hour drive into two 4 hour segments. Hi Lo Motel was a perfect halfway point and welcomed my two furbabies. yes it is an older but clean and quiet place.

This facility is right off of I-5 good location but the facility needs MAJOR upgrading. In the room that we got, there was no refrigerator or microwave, not even a coffee pot. With 2 dogs there was no place to put their beds, the room was extremely small. The size of the room was approximately a 12’x14’. New owners are taking over the motel and the convenient restaurant that is in front of motel, but unfortunately I have a feeling that upgrades are not going to be on their priority list. The ice machine was broken, and no compensation to go get a bag of ice from the gas station was offered. This property got a 1 bone review due to its location, but I would NEVER stay there again.

Dated motel of the fifties. No accessible electrical outlets except one in bathroom. Cafe hasn't recovered from the pandemic; inadequate staff; out of many menu items; closed an hour and a half early.

My second time to stay at this property with my dog. Nothing fancy, a bit dated, everything works and is clean, the bed was reasonable. There are a couple of grassy areas, and a little creek at the back of the property. Great views of Mt. Shasta. The room had microwave and fridge, but no in-room coffee. The staff is very nice, and graciously accommodated my request to change dates when my travel plans changed. The little cafe is wonderful, and nice to have so close, it's easy to phone in an order and then walk over and pick up a meal. Big, tasty portions. Good value, I'd stay again. But maybe bring my own coffee set up.

The Hi-lo Motel is our goto place when we head up to Weed/Mt Shasta area! Staff are always very friendly and helpful! love the restaurant! food is always excellent and service great!
