    Allenberry Resort

    Allenberry Resort welcomes two pets up to 60 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per stay. Guests with pets must call (877) 411-3436 prior to booking to verify availability of a pet-friendly room or risk not being able to check in with a pet and/or incurring any associated cancellation penalties. Both dogs and cats are allowed, and pets may be left in the room unattended. There is a grassy area for pet relief on the property.

      Not Really Dog Friendly Anymore

      I have enjoyed traveling to the Allenberry for the past 4 years. The grounds are magnificent, the food is wonderful, and it was always dog friendly. To my displeasure, this year, new policy changes have eliminated most of the dog friendly rooms. There is also a minimum night stay for dog-owners. I was told that the “walls were thin” in the lodges they used to allow dogs in, and cleaning staff couldn’t manage an overnight stay. Ironically, the resort still allows children, which are typically much louder and messier than trained canines.
