  Modern and clean

  Unusual that we received a third floor room; used stairs to tire our boy out. The night clerk was great, location very convenient (off I-95), and there were wooded trails across the street. I would have given 5 bones but the buffet breakfast was pretty poor.

  Wonderful service from the front desk, housekeeping, and breakfast bar. My pet was welcomed like family and he loved getting to mingle with all of the other pets and people. He was so happy during the entire stay!

  The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice large area convenienty located outside the hotel to walk our dog. The breakfast was also very good. We would definitely stay here again.

  Great experience

  Very clean, bed was comfortable, staff was very nice. A grassy area on one side of the building was a perfect walking area, complete with poop bags and a refuse container. Breakfast was good, served real scrambled eggs, food was fresh.

  Good place, quiet location

  Friendly front desk staff. Beautiful lobby and dining area. Good breakfast and coffee. Comfy beds and pillows. Clean and nicely decorated. Very close to a variety of eateries, nice sidewalks along the road that isn’t terribly busy. The Florence Rail Trail is only a 6 min drive away. Paved walk. Parking is a little hard to find. Right off a really sharp corner. We also took our boys to the middle school off Ebenezer Ave, State Highway for a good off leash run. Recommend for weekends only. No one was around at all.

  Only reason I didn’t give 5 bones is because the grassy area is between the hotel and the road and it’s hilly. The other reason is the back door that is convenient for dog people was busy all night and only leads out to a dirt drive and a couple of shrubs. We bring a white noise machine with us for the room that is a must when traveling with dogs.

  We highly recommend the 1720 Burger Bar for dinner. Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and awesome fries. Brandy was a great server. We even got free doughnut samples at the place right next door. We got vanilla ice cream for the pups there too. Super friendly girls who are eager to serve you.

  Our Favorite Stop

  We discovered Comfort Inn & Suites in Florence while driving from Massachusetts to Florida and back about three years ago. Since that time we make it a point to stop here on our annual trek. The staff has been friendly and accommodating and the facilities are extremely clean for a hotel that welcomes pets. There are plenty of areas to walk your dog. The hotel is located in a nice area with many good restaurants and stores.

  TOTALLY PAWSOME!!!!

  Unbelievable! Clean, clean, clean! Excellent 1st floor room! Usually hotels that allow pets give you their trashy room... stinks... no carpeting.. etc. Not Comfort Inn Suites, they give you a normal clean room. Full standard breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage, fresh made waffles, oatmeal, English muffins, and danish. Great area with tons of restaurants nearby. Convention center there with many hotels. Safe area filled with many folks who are driving to and from Florida AND dog friendly. Side entrance to Veterans Park next to Hotel.

  The Comfort Inn & Suites was in a very nice location that had plenty of space to walk. The friendly staff were very accommodating and were happy to see my little girl. Very nice room for me as well. I would suggest including a body wash for the shower. Otherwise everything was great.

  Very easy to get to from 95. Room was very clean. We were fortunate to get a 1st floor room at the end of the hall near an outside door making it easier to take our little dog (Louie) in and out. Area was also very quiet. Highly recommend Comfort Inn and Suites.

  This inn is only a short drive off the interstate but the main reason I continue to stay here while traveling to and from Florida is the cleanliness. It is very clean and does not smell like a dog friendly hotel. The beds are very comfortable and it is quiet. More importantly they take medium sized dogs. My dog is not small so I'm very appreciative for this place.

  We had to make a reservation on the fly as we were not sure where we wanted to stop for a night, returning to PA from Florida and getting a later start than we would have preferred. The hotel was super clean and the staff at the front desk were very friendly and greeted our dog enthusiastically. It was a wonderful night's stay after a stressful 2 weeks.

  Heads Up!!!

  They seem to alienate you that you booked thru a "3rd Party." They could not print my receipt because it was booked that way (never ever had that issue before booking thru BringFido). Charged me additional $50 for my 10lb Maltese (most places usually waive the fee when you are only there for 6 hours). Toilet also backed up. Will not book here in the future.

  The rooms are clean and spacious. A microwave and frig are in the rooms. Front desk staff friendly and welcoming. Plenty of grass space to walk your dog. A hot breakfast is included and the kitchen employees were very friendly. I would definitely rebook.

  The Comfort Inn and Suites in Florence provides very clean quiet accommodations. Also easily accessible to and from I-95. The doggie area is relatively far from rooms and limited area for walking dogs. Definitely ask for room closest to main entrance.

  Can’t say enough good things about this place. It was a pleasure to stay there. Nice rooms, very clean, very personable and helpful staff, and a nice warm breakfast. They also gave us a room on the first floor so that it was easy to take our dog out.

  Great location tucked away off of I-95. Good sized rooms and easy access to outside for our dog. Little noisy in the hall way but a great place that accepts dogs - has a $50 pet fee. Good customer service upon arrival.

  Pleasant staff!

  Staff were great and the room accessibility to the door for taking our dog out for potty breaks was great. Only drawback was the damp room. Carpet was really moist and the AC didn't seem to help. Perhaps it's just a SC thing in July but it was uber humid. It was a fine stay for us.

  From check-in to check-out, everyone we interacted with was super friendly! They even had a bag of milk bones for our dog at check-in. The rooms are extremely clean and the complimentary breakfast was well-organized. We will definitely stay here again on our way to/from Florida!

  As other reviewers mentioned, this Comfort Inn is well-maintained for a pet-friendly hotel. The customer service by the staff is exceptional! From the friendly reception at the front desk to the charming woman preparing the breakfast area to the kind cleaning staff…all were exceptional! When we had a problem getting the TV to work, someone came to fix it right away. Most importantly was the overall cleanliness and appearance of the room!! I highly recommend this location!   We stayed here on our way back to Florida with our 50 lb pup. This was a clean hotel. Beds were super comfortable. My pup was happy. There's a beautiful Veterans Park a short walk away that dogs are welcome at.

  We stayed one night in Florence on our way home, and we would definitely stop there again. The nice lady at the front desk let me choose our room because I told her we have an anxious dog, and a room away from noise would be best. She went out of her way to walk with me to the room to make sure I thought it was okay. It was very clean, and yes, quiet and comfortable.

  Awesome people and location!

  We were greeted by Ebony at the check in and she was an excellent host providing information with a happiness and joy that made these road weary travelers feel welcome. The next morning Ms. Brenda was such a ray of sunshine and joy that we hit the road with a smile on our faces. The room conditions were like we were the first occupants and couldn’t ask for a better location. Far enough off I-95 was close but not near enough to disrupt sleep. Restaurants are nearby and plentiful. Great place and people will get our business in the future.

  Stayed one night on trip home to NJ from FL with our two small dogs. Very clean comfortable rooms, lots of room to walk dogs, and quiet area. No noise even though there were other fur babies staying. Easy on/off from I95. Grab and go breakfast is available.
