Waterfront 3/1 Cottage with Fire Pit
Chain of Lakes Cottage on Townline Lake is a private, clean, charming Lakefront 3 Bedroom Cottage, with private Sandy Beach, 25' Dock, and Gazebo on the deck for enjoying a terrific view of the entire crystal clear, spring-fed "All Sports" lake and channels. A Paddleboat, with a built in cooler, and Row Boat are included. This cottage is in a unique area because you are not confined to just one lake; all 5 lakes have easily accessible channels leading to the other lakes for more variety (Townline Lake, Sand Lake, Icehouse Lake, Boathouse Lake, Haven Lake and Lost Lake).
Townline Lake (Chain of Lakes' deepest lake) is stocked yearly with fish for exceptional fishing - Northern Pike, Perch, Bass, Jumble Bluegill, Bluegill, Catfish, Sun Fish, Pan Fish, Sheephead, and more. Repeat customers visit every year because of the fishing; and have told me that Chain of Lakes offers the best fishing they have ever seen. Several customers have caught 36" Northern Pike off our dock.
Feel free to check out our "Fishing Wall of Fame" located inside the cottage! We would love for you to add to this with pictures from your own fishing trip while staying with us. We love to get special photos of your trip to share with our other guests.
The lakes have a sandy bottom in several areas for Swimming; are great for Boating, Sailing, Waterskiing, Jet Skiing, Tubing, Canoeing, Paddle Boating, Fishing, or just relaxing while watching a variety of wildlife swim by. There is quiet time on all lakes (no wake) from 7:30 pm until 11:00 am; giving fishermen their time to fish. There are steps leading directly into the lake with a safety rail on each side. Few steps with railing for lake entry
The cottage is fully carpeted, sleeps 6 people maximum, has a fully furnished kitchen with snack bar, and 2 separate dining areas; the living room includes fireplace, a dining area, comfortable furniture for relaxing, HD TV with DVD & VCR, and large doorwall leading to the deck for lakefront viewing pleasure.
Please, keep in mind that: Children and babies are counted as a person.
The deck, facing West, has a Gazebo, variety of deck furniture, large picnic table, and 2 charcoal grills. While relaxing on the deck, enjoy a great view of the beach, entire lake, channels, spectacular sunsets, and a beautiful Moon reflecting across Lake. There is a stone fire pit for campfires.
Wooded, undeveloped peninsular along lakes' channels has Bald Eagles, Deer, Turkeys, Loons, Ducks, etc. This area was quoted in the newspaper as being the "most beautiful area in Clare County with 20 lakes in 20 minutes".
The cottage is centrally located for shorter day trips to other parts of Michigan; such as Mt. Pleasant Soar Eagle Casino, Mackinaw City, Mackinaw Bridge, Mackinaw Island, Fort Michilimackinac, Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Traverse City Cherry Festival, shopping in Petoskey, Bronner's Christmas Wonderland (the World's largest Christmas store under one roof), Rogers City Gypsum Mines and the Tourist Center displaying fossils millions of years old, and more.
Let your imagination run wild! I have guests who believe they are in Hawaii when they visit. Every year they put up their twinkling lights on the deck, dress in Hawaiian clothing, play Hawaiian music, relax under the Weeping Willow tree in their hammock while enjoying the tropical breeze and listening to sounds of the wind and water splashing up on the shoreline, while roasting a pig for their evening Lau with their family. Fun and unbelievable!!
