The “Sand Crab Cottage” is a dream come true! This charming shabby chic 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage offers all the amenities of an upscale hotel, but in a cozy, intimate setting. Loaded with pampering amenities, this home has it all. If you are looking for a hassle-free vacation rental that offers the ability to drop your bags and hit the beach – this, is it! No need to leave the family dog at home. We welcome them to join your vacation and don’t worry because we provide amenities for them as well! Personal attention to detail, southern hospitality, and unexpected little luxuries are our trademarks. Come experience a quintessential beach cottage at its finest.
This iconic cottage is perfectly positioned on the corner of The Loop in the center of Wrightsville Beach and features a Little Free Library on the corner for the community and cottage guests to enjoy. The spacious front porch provides ample seating and is the best place to kick back and unwind in the subtle sea breeze. The great room of this immaculate cottage is accented by the vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, cozy seating options, a large family style dining table, and cheery pops of color. You will instantly feel at home! Snuggle up on the couch with a plush throw blanket and your favorite book after the sun goes down or catch up on your favorite shows.
Upstairs is a darling guest room that is perfect for kids. Furnished with two queen beds, this nautical room is sure to inspire a feeling of wonder and magic. An oversized chair makes a perfect space to read nighttime stories to youngsters or to escape for a little rest and relaxation. There is also a full bathroom with walk in shower for added convenience.
Downstairs you will find two bedrooms, both furnished with lush king-sized feather beds that pull you in and let your cares float away. There is a full bathroom with walk in shower and dual sinks that are shared by these rooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to make a family meal – it even includes a Margaritaville margarita machine because it is always 5 o’clock at the “Sand Crab Cottage”! Enjoy cooking on the gas range or grilling out and eating at the shaded picnic table.
Don’t forget to take advantage of the toy shed. Whether you want to boogie board in the surf, pack a beach cooler with ice and cold drinks, play a game of cornhole, or go for a bike ride around the island you are sure to find fun here. There is also an enclosed outdoor shower so that you can rinse off after a long day in the sun and sand.
Guests of the cottage will enjoy the vantage point and people watching from the cozy front porch. To the left of the cottage, it's a short stroll to the beach. To the right of the cottage, a short stroll to Banks Channel where you can access the intracoastal waterway. Johnny Mercer Pier is also close by for fun, fishing, and meeting up with friends. Walk to great restaurants and shops. Or just relax on the front porch and watch the world go by. From the finest linens and feather beds to charming decor, to the welcome mat for your well-behaved dogs, The Sand Crab Cottage is a rental experience not to be missed. **All vacation rentals for this home include high quality luxury linens and beach towels. Additional services and packages can be added to your reservation at cost per the rental contract. Occupancy: Strict limit of 6 people per reservation. All occupants must be disclosed as household amenities and linens are stocked per person.
Stay Requirements: Saturday to Saturday rental in summer. Minimum of 3-night stay in other seasons.
Bedding Configuration: 2 King, 2 Queen.
Parking: Driveway can accommodate 3 vehicles.
Pet Policy: Pet Policy: Dogs welcome as an optional add-on for this property with a non-refundable fee of $250 + tax that is charged per pet. Maximum of 2 dogs per reservation. Charge will be added after booking when the option to bring a pet and number of pets are selected. Nonrefundable fees are listed in the House Rules and animals must be disclosed via the Rental Agreement. Fees are not included automatically when booking on VRBO and must be paid separately to the host if you wish to bring a pet(s). Failure to disclose and prepay for dogs will result in penalty fees which are disclosed in House Rule #16.
Prohibited: Boat Trailers, Boats, Trailers, RV’s, SMOKING anywhere on premises, Mail and Packages are not able to be sent to the rental.

Property Security: For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have exterior security cameras located on the font of the cottage to view the front porch, parking pad and rear exterior camera to view rear side of cottage.
Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund. All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).
