  Appeared to have been cleaned, but there was a large gap under the door and we found a large roach in the bathroom. Was higher in price than many others and there was no breakfast, nor even a pot of coffee available.

  It was right off the highway with restaurants nearby. The woman at check-in was nice and efficient. The room was spacious, clean, and updated. I’d stay here again!

  Clean and updated

  Loved this stay. The floors were clean with no carpet- engineered wood, so it felt and looked clean. Microwave and refrigerator in room, bed was comfortable, no complaints for the price.

  Not a bad place to stay

  The building needs a little work but they are renovating. The gentlemen who managed the front desk were wonderful unlike the last place we stayed. Very polite!!

  Updated Room

  Our dog has been living with leukemia for over a year now and after that diagnosis he became a traveling pet. The room was renovated and comfortable with the beds being at a comfortable level for our pet. My only complaint is that the staff should be much more welcoming upon arrival and upon checkout. My first time at a Red Roof Inn and while we are traveling with our pet. I would certainly return.

  Great stay!

  Cleanliness! Welcoming and friendly staff! Placed us on the first floor, unlike another hotel we stayed at on our way down to Florida. Much appreciated!

  Will Stay Here Again!

  Price was very reasonable with recently upgraded rooms. No charge for my dog which can range at other chains from $25-$50. Very pleased.

  One bone

  Remodeled, bed nice. A lot of long black hairs on floor & in the bed. Granted it was Saturday night but noise was bad. Guy outside hanging in his car w music loud bass overdone. Think a lot of people might live here which is fine but they should separate the people. Environment just didn’t feel good. All was fine but late to get to sleep due to all the noise.

  Good place, appeared clean

  We stayed in the newly renovated rooms so they were pretty nice and appeared clean. Lots of areas to take your pet out to potty and not super noisy with traffic which always worries me when taking my sometimes skiddish boy out in an unfamiliar place. Overall descent place!

  Clean & comfortable

  We really appreciate how welcoming the Red Roof Inn is to our dog, Zeke. This particular Red Roof Inn had renovated rooms, which were very clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Reasonably priced. We would definitely stay at this hotel again in our travels.

  It was ok but minimally maintained. The one in Winchester VA was great. Red Roof as a brand is pretty iffy as to what you get.

  Renovations can’t come soon enough

  The room was not clean. Good green space for dog. Landscaping updates are terrific. Good for dogs, not for humans.

  Bad timing

  They were renovating and didn't tell us until we checked in. They told us at check-in that our special rate room would not be cleaned until we checked out 4 nights later. Second night the creek behind the hotel overflowed into parking lot. 4am alarms going off (hotel and iPhones) and woman came to door asking if we had a beagle in our room. No, but we had a Subaru that got flooded in their parking lot and hit on one side and had no idea how bad it was till next morning. We had to stay in town to meet contractors at our house we are trying to sell. We contacted our insurance and moved to Aloft ASAP. The flooding was not the hotel’s “fault” per se but their reaction to the storm was. The room was sticky and gross, and our car filthy. Not fun.

  Thank you Red Roof

  Booking was easy, the staff was nice. Checking in and out was simple and quick. Room and halls were clean. In a previous review someone said it was “Dated but maintained.” I think that’s an accurate description. I travel across the country every few years with my pets and always look for Red Roof’s to spend the night because I don’t have to worry about them being allowed or not. Thank you Red Roof for welcoming all members of our family.

  Good for the price

  The staff was very nice, the room was clean and there were grassy spots available. Bar 31, across the street, allows dogs on the patio.

  Hard bed. Noises of TV & voices & closing doors from adjacent room is bothersome. Staying here because it is cheap. Guess you get what you pay for. Extended Stay America is more expensive but quiet.

  Needs Attention

  This property needs some serious attention to cleaning, both in rooms and outside. Also need TV instructions, remote didn’t work. Ice bucket was filthy. Our feet were black from the dirty floors. Would not recommend.

  Great value for the money

  Let's face it. Most of the time when we're traveling with our pooch, we're looking for a place our lay our head and then pack up and get going. Red Roof Inn fills that niche, and with no added pet fee. THAT'S Red Roof's secret weapon. The room was fine, the refrigerator was more useful than 90% of hotel fridges I've encountered, there was a grassy spot for dog potty area. Parking could be a little tight. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the process was easy. Red Roof Inn has bumped up a notch in my book.

  Very pleasant experience

  We got in around midnight and were gone by 7am. Front desk was very nice, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Great price and location.

  Nice hotel to bring the dogs to

  We have never stayed at a Red Roof Inn before. For a first time experience, the hotel was better than we expected. I would recommend this hotel when traveling with your dogs. The room was nice and the location perfect.

  Updated, but.....

  I was pleased to see an updated room that smelled fresh. I paid a bit extra for a deluxe room with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The coffee maker was worthless and missing a piece on the bottom making it not sit straight. The bed was very comfortable and the room did appear clean, But, there were roaches. They were both dead and alive. I would not return to this motel.

  Great Stay!

  My dog, a friend, and I went on a road trip for my nephew’s graduation and stayed overnight here. This place was by far the best place we stayed. The room was big and clean, with enough room for two humans and one 90lb dog. Also, I called ahead to ask about leaving my dog alone in the room while I was at the graduation and the staff said it is allowed so long as the dog was in a crate FYI.

  My room had bugs!

  If I could get away with not leaving a dog bone for this review, I would. I booked this room on bringfido.com based on the reviews, and the price was good. When I arrived, the desk clerk was rude. I checked into my room and it was dirty, the floor was sticky, there were Gatorade bottles on the windowsill and the garbage hadn't been emptied. I went to the office and they put me in another room on the third floor. That room had bugs! Bed bugs! I went down to the office and told them I could not stay there and they were no help in refunding my money. You might be tempted to stay here but don't do it! I cross the country twice a year and spend a lot of time in hotels and bed bugs are a deal breaker. The bringfido.com representative was awesome and assisted me in Booking another room locally. We ended up at the LaQuinta and had a lovely evening. Check out the reviews on other sites for this hotel.

  Great, affordable dog friendly hotel

  We took an impromptu roadtrip down to Birmingham. We needed an affordable, safe place to stay with our two large dogs (60 & 90 lbs). The Red Roof Inn was perfect for us. Check in was quick and easy. The lady at the front desk was super nice. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed was incredibly soft.

  Clean and safe with friendly staff

  Just me and my 2 dogs-55 and 75 lbs. Reserved the deluxe since I wanted the fridge/microwave. I stayed 2 times within a week while on a trip. Same experience both times. Rooms we fresh and clean. Roomy enough for 2 large dog beds. Good area, a block off I-65. Staff was pleasant. I'll definitely stay there on future trips.

  Exactly what we needed

  Tried this hotel based on reviews and we were very pleased. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping was very nice and friendly. Room was clean, absolutely no hesitation or issues with our 2 small dogs. Location was perfect for us. Waffle House just around the corner was nice too. We would definitely stay here again.
