  The bed and the installations are not as good as other BW. Huge temperature changes of water while in the shower (to what fix to very cold and then very very hot!).

  Great location

  It was easy on/off Hwy 40. The front desk staff was very informative on what we needed to know about the hotel-pool, breakfast, potty area. The potty area was very close to the exit door by our room.

  Disappointing

  We were disappointed. We thought it was a little pricey for what you got. Rooms and hallway in need of an upgrade. Nothing at the breakfast bar we could eat. We didn’t get reward points, nor get free upgrades if available. The bright spot was that they had an enclosed pool and hot tub that were as good temperatures.

  Decent accommodations

  The staff were excellent and the room was adequate, but there was so much noise with truckers staying there, thin walls and ceilings, and huge trains across the street that our dogs had a hard time relaxing. A calm dog would be fine there.

  Overpriced

  A renovated motel (looks like a former Howard Johnson's from the 50's or 60's) right off Route 66. Small grassy area provided for doggies. Nothing around except other motels. Far nicer accommodations available in Flagstaff for much less.

  Fine place

  A bit pricier than the other options but I thought I got what I paid for. The room was small and had a tile floor but the tiles were in good condition and everything was clean and well-kept. Nice little grassy area to let the dog do his business. Staff was nice. I will happily stay here again.

  For a Best Western not impressed. The rooms were clean but very outdated. Staff was friendly. There is a small spot out back for pups to potty.

  Giant room

  Very large room with comfy bed and pillows. Nice grass are for walking Jack. Loved that it’s pet friendly. Staff were short and it sounded like elephants playing hockey on ceiling. Very thin insulation; it was okay until about 1am then I was annoyed. Breakfast was a nice plus. Room was pretty old/dated. Overall it’s about a $100 hotel for twice the price. Has lots of potential to be great.

  Great Staff & Nice Room

  The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have 2 German Shepherds that are in the 90 lb range and the room they gave us was large with a sitting area, so lots of room for us and the dogs! The rooms that take dogs are at the end of the hotel by the dog park and easy access to the parking lot. I would definitely stay there again when traveling with my dogs!

  Nice spacious room and friendly staff. No complaints, only wish it had more grass for walking the dog, but they provided a space with bags.

  It worked for what we needed

  Excellent customer service and it was quiet. But the rooms are so small/crammed and smelled a bit. But it worked for a night.

  Nice room for dogs

  We enjoyed our overnight at the Pony Soldier. The room had hard floors, a big plus for traveling with pets. They also had a special area for dogs to relieve themselves, complete with poop bags. And we had a room with 2 queen beds, so our little girl dog had her very own bed to sleep on. The pet fee is also very reasonable. The bathroom was kind of small and the hot water cut out a couple of times in the shower. Free breakfast is also a big plus. Traveling across the country with two large dogs is quite a feat and having places like the Pony Soldier is a big help.

  Comfortable stay

  Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Room was a bit small and the rate was a bit pricy, but overall pretty good.

  Very Comfy

  We took our puppers up to the snow for the day. The hotel was nice, our room was big (like a suite). The pet fee was $25 which was not bad and they didn’t “hold a deposit”. There was a little grassy area with baggies and it was quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

  Convenient, but really outdated

  This hotel is in the middle of the older section of Flagstaff. Stayed here because I was close to HWY 40 and I could easily jump back on the next morning.

  Sort of hard to review hotels this trip due to the virus, but I found there were some hotels so happy to see me and then this one was "ok, you are here" kind of attitude. Didn't bother me much, but the room was really old. Fortunately the bed was comfortable and the shower was pretty nice. I was happy to get away the next morning. They did offer some sort of breakfast, but it ended at 9am on a Saturday. Usually, breakfast on weekends goes for an extra hour.

  On the plus side, staying here gave me the chance to explore the old neighborhood.

  Loved it!

  We got the last king suite for the weekend and loved it! I’ll be making it a point to stay at BW now! My boy had a decent size area for relief. Breakfast was great! Only complaint I have is we were downstairs so noise from upstairs walking was loud. But I’d definitely stay again!

  Time Travel Experience

  To enter the room is to be transported to the 1970s. Tiny, with everything shoe horned in, with tired decor. Super expensive for what is was. Nice shampoo, though.
