  A treasure by the sea!

  We loved this place! Our partial view room was wonderful. Real cotton sheets, real coffee cups, plates and flatware. Breakfast delivered to rooms in the morning in a charming basket. Lots of lawn and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the view. Right across from boardwalk, and the street was only 25mph. Clean and quiet. Cookies in early afternoon and brownies at 5pm. 4 cup coffee makers in the room. Coffee and tea in the lobby. Good tea, by the way. Very dog friendly. Cute sheets overnight the white bedding. I did not want to leave.

  Spectacular Location

  The inn is located across the street from the ocean and an extensive boardwalk along the coast. Most rooms have a view of the water. The inn is very dog friendly, has a terrace for watching the sunset, and a gas fireplace in the room. Stay two nights and spend a day exploring all the nearby coast offerings, as we did.

  An awesome staff

  The front desk staff is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only issue was that the water pressure was very poor—especially in the shower. But that wouldn’t prevent us from going again. Beautiful setting with amazing views of the ocean and cross the street for the best oceanside walk you could ever take.

  Friendly pet haven

  Such a great location and so thoughtfully and warmly run. Really nice staff and they go the extra mile to make the whole property dog friendly.

  Super clean and relaxing! A very comfortable room and loved all the extras. They were so unique with all their treats and comfort having my Golden doodle with me.

  Great location

  Cambria Shores Inn has everything necessary for a great, active and relaxed atmosphere for fur babies and their Family. Never have we stayed in a room that gave our babies their own yard, pet friendly wine tasting for the adults, safe and close walking trails and close to many pet friendly restaurants. Can't say enough positive comments about our stay. Our second time staying here and we will be back again.

  Fabulous!

  We booked 3 nights and added a 4th ad we love this lace so much. Quaint, charming, and inviting. Fantastic location on the beach. You can walk right out to the boardwalk. There are lots of dogs and many guests sit out in the grass in the chairs with their dogs to watch the sunset. We will definitely be back. We are 48 and 53 traveling with three dogs including our 140 lb mastiff. The hotel staff was so nice and welcoming.

  Restful stay

  This is our 2nd time to stay in Cambria Shores Inn. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It's across from the boardwalk and beach. There are many chairs to view the ocean. The breakfast is wonderful and so are the cookies in the afternoon. The room is spacious, updated and clean. The hosts are very nice. This hotel is very dog friendly. We will stay here whenever we visit Cambria.

  FANTASTIC!

  My boyfriend and I were only going to spend one night, but we loved it so much we added a second! They love dogs here! There is a grassy area on the property where my dog could go potty. They have trash cans and bags as well. The breakfast basket was wonderful too! we will definitely be bringing our dog back here very soon! Thank you Cambria Shores Inn!!!

  Wonderful Stay

  Great dog friendly inn. The room was spotless and comfortable. Our Doggies loved hanging out in bed on the blanket provided. The continental breakfast was delivered in picnic baskets which was fun. There’s a well kept green space for doggies to do their business. Our girls loved taking walks on the winding wooden path across the street, overlooking the ocean. The sounds of the waves and the sea breeze kept them calm and relaxed all weekend. Highly recommend.

  Best at Moonstone

  Stayed at many places at Moonstone Beach and this was nicest room and most dog-friendly by far. Great experience. Highly recommend.

  You and your dog will love it

  This family run hotel has been updated and is super comfortable. Lots of room, mini fridge, real glassware, great shower and comfy beds. The reception was super welcoming with dog cookies available, too. Lots of little extras. Right across from the beach and a long boardwalk to walk your dog along. Even if I didn’t have a dog, I would stay here.

  Great place for pups and people

  Nice spacious room with plenty of room for 2 people and 2 small dogs. Nice grassy area for the dogs to go potty. Right on beautiful Moonstone Beach.

  Perfect location

  This is the first hotel that has been a perfect fit for my pup and I. Very pet friendly and I didn’t have to bring my own bowls. People were friendly and direct access to the beach across the street. I did find a dog friendly beach about a mile from this hotel. Loved it! We’ll be back!

  Great place to stay with your best friend!

  Cambria Shores Inn was the best place I have stayed with my Goldendoodle, Benmont in all our travels, so far!! So welcoming, so comfortable, so clean and so dog-friendly🐶👍. We will be back, for sure. Thank You, Cambria Shores Inn!!!

  Very fido-friendly

  The location is excellent, and the room very bright and comfortable indeed. At reception the staff were welcoming, the on-site wine tasting was a surprise bonus, and the breakfast basket in the morning got us going nicely for the day ahead. The dog enjoyed the stay, and exploring the surroundings too!

  The Most Dog Friendly Ever!

  Dog sheet for the bed, bowls, doggy bags. They even asked at check-in what our dog’s name is. The mailbox at the property entrance has a dog on it! Some of the info on this site about the lodging is outdated, though.

  Great location and hospitality for man dog

  Perfect location across the beach, nice sized rooms with mini fridge and microwave; a welcome glass of wine and a breakfast basket every morning. Food and water bowls are set up for your dog and the relief areas are on the grounds. We’ve stayed at a lot of dog friendly places around the central coast of California and this has definitely been the best so far.

  Wonderful dog friendly motel!

  Great place to visit with your dog. Nice rooms with dog treats, bowls, dog motif/deco. Dogs allowed in wine bar and in lobby. Wonderful beach walking across the street. People perks include free cookies, brownies, wine, a basket of goodies for breakfast (pastries, cheese, fruit, juice). Not inexpensive but it was worth it!

  Small, comfortable inn. Easy access to Moonstone walkway along the ocean. Breakfast basket delivered to your room each morning. Wine tasting offered on the front patio with a limited menu for food.

  Great place to stay!

  Awesome place and super dog friendly! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking is ok unless you have a big van, you will have to park it in the street. They have a cool dog area and chairs to watch the sunset!

  Beautiful location and super pup friendly!

  We had a great stay at this quaint motel! Woody was welcomed and treated like family. Great hospitality for the humans too :) we all sat in the Adirondack chairs looking at the ocean covered with blankets and some of us had wine & brownies (not Woody).

  Great place!

  We love Cambria and have visited multiple times. Cambria Shores Inn is our absolute favorite place to stay. The friendly staff, comfy rooms, breakfast baskets and nice lawn with on-site wine tasting make this the perfect spot.

  I really liked this place, great location, nice room with fireplace, I got brownies and a free wine tasting which was so nice after traveling! They forgot to set up the room for my pup, but when I asked they promptly brought the VIP (very important pooch) basket with treats, flashlight and Fido magazine, treats, bowls and a dog blanket for the bed. I will definitely book this again!

  Very pleasant

  Our check in was easy, the room was immaculate with a doggy sheet on the bed. The beach board walk is right across the street. The dogs had a great time. It was easy to book with three dogs..no special arrangements needed. Room was small but very comfortable.

  What a find on Moonstone beach. The motel owners are Long time dog lovers and it shows. Thoughtful amenities, safe and clean for covid and a spectacular sunset vibe for us and Fido.

  Great location, fantastic service

  The inn is incredibly dog friendly. Our room was very clean, attractive and comfy. The bed top was a soft sheet with a cute dog print, perfect for pets. The grounds are lovely. There are Adirondack chairs facing west so you can savor a glass of wine and watch the sun set over the water. Staff is friendly and professional. We had a great stay. We will definitely visit again.

  The Best

  What a wonderful place for man and dogs! From the minute we checked in to the minute we checked out, we loved it. Our dog got a basket, and we got a breakfast basket. All of this, plus a killer view and a place to watch the sunset over the ocean. We loved it and will go back!!

  Cambria Shores Inn gets a unanimous vote as our favorite place to stay when driving up or down the coast. Dogs get their own basket 🧺 of traveler necessities and humans get goodies for breakfast, happy hour and brownies for dessert. The cozy fireplace and great views are icing on the dog biscuit. Can’t beat it. One of our all time favorite places to visit.

  Best Doggy Hospitality

  I’ve stayed at many hotels/motels with my guardians and they’ve been ok. This place takes the biscuit and is my furrvorite. I give them all paws up! At check in I patiently waited for my guardian to get me a treat from the bowl and I was given my own basket that contained items I can use during my stay. In my basket there were bowls/placemat for them, snacks, towel, Fido magazine and a flashlight for walks in the night. They have an Ocean View Lounge with a sign that said ‘Open to Everybody! Children, Dog & Families’ In the morning a breakfast basket was hung at our front door which my guardians scarf down all the food but I wasn’t excluded. There were treats in the breakfast basket for ME too! So canine friends tell your guardians you want to stay here! Love Siri

  Amazing Location

  We spent 4 awesome days and were so sad to leave. So puppy friendly and a short drive to all the best the central coast has to offer. So dog friendly, a welcome basket with treats and a morning breakfast basket each day. We can’t wait to come back!!!
