Our room was impeccable and tastefully decorated. The bed and bedding were top quality. The entire property is beautifully maintained. The location is directly across the street from Moonstone Beach. There is no development on the beach side of Moonstone Beach Drive, and a short stroll across the street leads to a long boardwalk along the spectacular shoreline. Our pups were welcomed. Highly recommended.

Fine stay, pretty grounds. Not very dog friendly in comparison to other hotels in area. No dog area to relieve themselves and the new boardwalk doesn’t give much area for the dogs to go especially if you have to walk there during the night. Breakfast was ok.

Our room was comfortable and fresh, and the included breakfast was truly delicious! Sadly much of the boardwalk was closed for reconstruction, but our dogs loved walking on the section that was still open.

Percy loved his time in Moonstone Beach and would love to take us back. The walk across the street to the boardwalk and the sunset views were wonderful!

Nice motel, but pet-friendly rooms are $30 more than the same regular room on their site. Also stated there would be a patio and treats for the dogs. Neither. Also pet paper work at check-in detail threats for various infractions, such as any pet waste out side your room...which could belong to any dog. Also no pet relief area on premises. Lastly, Adirondack chairs outside state they are reserved for particular rooms. Dog tolerant, wouldn't say friendly.

We had a great time at the Sea Otter Inn. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delivered in a cute basket every morning and they even included a doggie treat each day :) We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

The Sea Otter has excellent access to the beach and boardwalk. The rooms were very clean and well cared for...the puppies even had welcome treats. The breakfast basket waiting at the door in the morning was welcome during CV19

The Sea Otter Inn is located across the street from Moonstone Beach. It’s pet-friendly and comfortable. My dog was allowed to sit by the fire pit with me while enjoying the sunset. Breakfast the next morning included a treat for my pup. It was a really nice experience.

Sea Otter Inn was a very nice hotel. They were very accommodating to our dog, we had a very nice room facing the ocean. I would definitely go back again and again.

We travel to Cambria several times a year, but this was our first stay at Sea Otter Inn. We decided to bring our dog on this trip and I chose Sea Otter Inn because they are one of the few places that does not have a dog weight limit (most have a 40 lb limit). Our dog friendly room included a lovely fully fenced patio which our dog really enjoyed. They also include dog treats in the daily breakfast basket. The boardwalk across the street is a very nice place to walk, and there is a dog friendly beach in Cayucos, which is only about 13 miles south. The motel provided us with a list of restaurants that allowed dogs on their patios, however, it was a very rainy weekend, so all our meals were taken to go and eaten in our room. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our stay here! It was a last minute trip and we happened to have our puppers! The hostess was super nice and loved our doggies!!! They even gave them a little breakfast and treats to freshen their breaths :) We will definitely come back! A great spot !!!

Their rooms for pets are as nice as the other rooms and come with a private patio on the back. Breakfast comes with a dog treat as well.

We have not travelled extensively with our dog. Let's face it, it's like having a 4 year old who isnt allowed in most places you want to go. Having said that, we had a relaxing time here at the Sea Otter Inn.
The beaches at Moonstone are all Marine Sanctuaries and dogs are not allowed on them. There is a lovely boardwalk along the beach they can run/walk along so exercise is not an issue. The office provided me with the location of a dog beach nearby.
The whole town seems dog friendly. We were able to bring our dog in to all the shops so far. The Inn here gave us dog friendly restaurant locations.
The Sea Otter Inn, and it's sister inn, the Cambria Pines Lodge, are charming and accommodating. The area is everything a beach town should be. I highly recommend this clean, lovely spot.
