Hilton San Diego Del Mar welcomes two pets up to 75 lbs for an additional fee of $75 per stay. Additional pets considered for $25 per stay. Both dogs and cats are permitted. Guests with pets are assigned to rooms on the first two floors. Pets may not be left in the room unattended. Four-legged guests receive a welcome wag bag from Muttropolis, and pet beds and food and water bowls are available. There is a pet relief area on the property. We would definitely stay here again.

From the outside, the hotel looked really nice. However, the room I was assigned was run down, dated, and smelled of heavily perfumed air freshener. Also, even though this was supposed to be a smoke free room, I smelled a hint of cigarette smoke through the very strong fragrance. I can’t speak for the rest of the hotel rooms and maybe the non-dog friendly rooms are great, but mine was just OK. If I ever stay here again, I will upgrade to the courtyard facing rooms with the balcony, and maybe those will be better.

Dog friendly staff, and nice property overall. Room was clean and comfortable. Small area for dogs was adequate with poop bags and trash can available. There is a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant nearby that was also dog friendly. Would stay here again.

Great room! Wonderful patio areas to sit and enjoy a drink and/or dinner with our furry boy. The waiter was great about bringing out a bowl of water too. The only negative is that there isn’t a very good area for dogs to relieve themselves.

We loved the location the convenience and the comfort however the prices for food which was dry and minimal and for a glass of wine was insane. For a nice hotel I was really surprised.

Love this hotel. We stay every year and it’s close to the dog beach. The staff loves pets and treat them well even offering a dog bed and bowls if you need it. They give my pup treats and a toy when we check in and have a water bowl and treats right outside the lobby door. There’s a nice big grass area with a small waterfall by the meeting rooms for doggie potty time.

This hotel was perfect for our fur baby! They were very accommodating to our request to have a balcony on the second floor for her, and even had a dish bowl ready for her in our room. She was free to go anywhere in the hotel except the third floor where no pets are allowed. It was nice to sit outside on the patio next to the bonfire and have her there with us. The staff were very friendly with her and gave her lovings every time they saw her. The rooms were clean and cozy, the food and restaurants were delicious. I mostly enjoyed that the hotel text us if we needed anything and to how our stay was. It’s very close to the dog beach down the street and local restaurants and shops that dogs are welcome to.
