    The Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites

    The Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites allows three pets of any size in designated rooms for an additional fee of $40 per night. Guests traveling with pets will be assigned to a Garden Room or a Garden Suite. Both dogs and cats are allowed, but pets may not be left in the room unattended. There is a pet relief area on the property. For same day arrivals, please call 877‑411‑3436 to confirm availability of a pet-friendly room.

    Having been established in 1878, The Mendocino Hotel and Garden Suites and Garden Suites boasts the distinction of being the only historic full-service hotel in town.       Great location!

      We stayed in one of the garden suites. Nothing too fancy. No fridge or microwave, although that didn’t spoil our experience. Free delicious coffee in the hotel lobby which we enjoyed on the upstairs balcony with ocean view. (There is a coffeemaker in the suite as well). Great location to restaurants, shopping, Mendocino Beach and the Headlands. Very dog friendly town. Apparently they will be closed for some time in 2024 to remodel the hotel and the suites. BTW, Patterson Pub serves delicious food and they are very close by.

      Ideal Location

      The hotel, built in 1878, is an historical gem in the charming seaside town of Mendocino. It's a tiny town so it's an easy walk around and also access to the Mendocino Headlands. Most of the nearby shops are also pet friendly. Beautiful and peaceful.
