  Different treatment for dog owners

  Arrived with my confirmation for 1 adult, 2 small dogs. Front desk informs me that they did not have any pet friendly rooms available. I showed the confirmation and they told me BringFido was wrong and I needed to deal with BringFido. I was making a fuss when someone in the back - with the authority - told the front desk that I could use a people-only room for the one of two nights. It was on the second floor, at the end of a long walkway, and was very inconvenient for my elder Dachshund who could no longer climb stairs.

  The next morning, the manager on duty called the room and asked me to switch to a "Pet-Friendly" room. He made sure to tell me I could stay in the room I was in but "We prefer that pets stay in the pet-friendly rooms." I asked how long till I had the new room and the Manager assured me I was at the top of the list and as soon as someone checked out of a pet-friendly room, it would be cleaned and I could move. I stupidly agreed. I lost an entire day waiting for a room.

  I wasn't able to move myself and my two dogs into the room until 5pm and I had been waiting since about 9am. The room we moved into was in serious disrepair, every drawer in the dresser was broken, Electrical outlets were covered by furniture and inaccessible which meant I had to charge my electronics on the bathroom sink. One bath towel and washcloth, no supplies on the coffee maker and the room connected via a door to the room next door which was occupied by noisy people.

  A stark and significant difference from the "people only room" which was functional and had furniture not needing repair. Obviously, this location treats dog owners as second-class (maybe third) guests. The manager was a total a-hole the entire time but the front desk staff tried to smooth things over. I don't recommend this as a first choice for a visit to Palm Springs with your 4-legged friends.

  Clean but tired

  I was concerned after reading some rather negative reviews. But the lodge is clean if tired and in need of an upgrade for a Wyndham property. Large grassy areas for our dog.

  Yikes

  Worst smelling room I’ve ever stayed in, some sort of dead bug on the bathroom floor, leftover dog food in the corner from whoever before me. Hard bed, but clean sheets. Plumbing is DEFINITELY still from the 70s. This place needs an update for sure, but they had a security guard and cameras everywhere. Honestly, I expected much worse after reading the reviews.

  Bad Stay

  I was looking for a affordable dog friendly hotel and thought it was located centrally, plus is a Wyndham Property.
  Well......the room itself was OK and the AC worked fine since it was 100 degrees. The problem was a lot of seedy folks were hanging around the property at all hours of the night. Many were homeless looking and others looked like they were tweaked. The room next to us had loud music sporadically day and night with numerous people coming and going. I did not feel safe staying at this property. Will not be back!!

  Carpet was dirty & stained and we were kept up all night with people high on meth. The window did not lock because of this we did not get any sleep. Spend the extra money an don't stay there.

  Great spot for pets!

  The room was tired but they are working on updating accommodations. The great part was lots of lawn for your furry pets.

  Not the best room or service

  Ween I entered the lobby one of the two hotel guest services employees was finishing up another guest. The other saw me waiting but didn't call me over until he was asked to wait in me. His service was really shoddy. Not professional. When we entered the room the hot water was flowing in the bathroom. I'm sure it was flowing for a day!

  Review

  A little outdated and dark on the outside, but rooms are clean and staff is friendly. Can’t beat it for the price. There is also a walking area in the rear of the motel.

  Good

  Room was good for our dog. The hotel is nothing spectacular, but I was happy to be at a hotel that allowed our furry friend. A nice grassy area just outside of the room.

  Run down

  Room very run down. Ants in room. Large pieces of glass outside door of room. Facility looks very tired. Nice park for walking dog behind hotel. Staff was nice. Good location.
  Would not stay again because of condition of room & hotel.

  Roach motel!! You’d be better sleeping in the car. The front desk had absolutely no idea what was going on. Although the pet area outside was spacious, the sidewalk was covered in ants.
