  Had area for dogs and doggy bags. Great room and great location. Only down side was in second building and had to walk aways past a restaurant to get to go breakfast. But had great coffee in their little coffee maker which I usually refuse to use.

  Mostly good review

  They gave us a nice first floor room. Very small dog walking area. Parking was allowed right by our window, so we had to keep the window closed with the curtain down or our dog would have been barking all the time at the people walking by. Breakfast wasn’t diabetic friendly. The workers were very friendly. The welcome desk area was very cozy, comfortable. The plants and flowers decorating the outside of the building were awesome!

  There’s no elevator

  We got a room facing the road so we dealt with auto noise all night. The staff was very nice but there’s no grass on the property for walking your dogs.

  For the price this was great. For the price. The way we use a hotel is basically to sleep and keep our stuff while out. The beds were comfortable albeit seemingly short sheeted-both, the place had done some improvements evidently where they had to and left other things from the original install, I guess, in the late 70s. Boutique hotel thy name is not “The Morgan!” They were weird about the “take away” or “grab n go” (I forget their term) breakfast. They had you request everything at the front desk-Covid? Or cost control-not sure- but it was weird. All stuff you might get from a vending machine guarded by the young girl at the desk. Also, with no housekeeping, you had to ask for additional shampoos or towels. The staff handed me a shampoo for three, two of whom have long hair, like it was the most costly Tiffany jewel. Clearly that was policy as I’ve had to request at other hotels and not needed to do my Oliver “more sir” routine to get an extra .75 oz of shampoo. Usually we bring our own but left that at home by accident which seems to happen half of our trips…along with a jacket for me.

  For the price I’d stay their again but at a higher price point I’d pass for a different spot at a better value which isn’t necessarily the lowest cost but value. No other dog issues just odd stuff. Like the plugged in item going under the baseboard near 307-does that power the door scan locks? Definitely not to code-wonder what else is weird there. It kind of inspires those “where did they cut corners” questions. Not sure exactly why but there’s some questions that popped in my mind and my family’s minds. Btw shower was good, not sure where another reviewer has stayed to call it GOAT but good enough.

  Stayed again 10/17-18/21. No issues other than the coast being less cool than usual for mid October. A fan in the closet to bring air from the nearby surf but no outlet near the windows so warming sleep without AC. Front desk was more congenial this time-masks etc still ongoing there.

  Great Location

  We enjoyed our one night stay at The Morgan San Simeon. The room was spacious and bright. Great location close to the beach. Staff were friendly and accommodating, Nice amenities. We had a dog friendly room right next to side exit and walkway which was great. Wonderful Mexican restaurant next to hotel. We would stay there again.

  Great location, great price

  Great location and price. Rooms are a bit outdated, and although the rooms are clean the could use a deeper cleaning in the not so obvious places. . Staff are super friendly. Dogs love it. Really no issues!

  Just What We Needed

  Great hotel! Staff were super friendly! Room was very clean and the beds were comfortable! The shower curtain didn’t touch my arms (yes, it’s a thing for me lol) and the shower head had perfect pressure! There was a little spot out back for the dogs to do their thing. Very quiet and relaxing! The kids loved the heated pool, and the two big dogs had plenty of room! We will definitely come again!
