After driving Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica, my little buddy and I needed a great ending and we found it at Bayside! Nice room and nice location. And we got our End of Trail photo in from of the sign on the pier. The hotel and the whole area is very dog friendly!

Kind of expensive for a Midwest boy, but it IS in California. The king suite I was in had ocean view, full kitchen, it was a nice room, no area for Daisy to go, but lots of grass across the street, and down the hill from that little park area is the beach. The walk to the pier wasn't very long (had to get my final passport stamp from Route 66). Again, nice place just not used to that cost. There are other hotels closer to the boardwalk, and beach but they don't allow pets.

Very small rooms and expensive. Great location as in walking distance to the beach. Parking was very expensive for such a small place.

We stayed here 2 nights. This hotel is literally 2 blocks from the beach and a short walk to Santa Monica Pier. It felt secure, even in though it was in such a busy area. We had a courtyard room, which was thankfully, steps away from the artificial grass and there was also a park across the street.

Great location, across the street from the beach. Hotel is older but super cute and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Love that they allow big dogs. We have a 105 lb Sheppard mix and a 65 lb pit bull terroir and they were very accommodating. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach but you can walk them along the walkway all around the beach area. So many people out and about w/their dogs!! Would stay again!

Very cute little hotel. Tile flooring in rooms and a grassy park across the street. Dogs are not allowed on the beach so the park was perfect.

The room was super clean and luxurious. It is small but enough for my big dog. This is a prime location right on the beach and grassy Santa Monica park. Great price (I used to live in S.M.). Check in was less than five minutes. Very safe with keycard garden gate. No problems parking but must leave lot by 2pm.

They were very accommodating with our small dog, and allowed us to leave him in the room when needed. Great stay. A little on the small side, and could use an update,. Also expensive, but right on the beach, so what do I expect?

Spend Christmas night at the Bayside. GREAT Location......did I mention how GREAT the location was. Across from the beach and close walk to the famous Santa Monica Pier. Room was perfect and our pups enjoyed the stay as well. We will be back again for a longer stay next year. 5 bone stay all the way!!

We booked a last minute getaway with a large dog (100lbs) and this place is perfect! It's right across the street from the boardwalk and beach. We got an adorable refinished room, with Oceanview and a kitchenette. Within walking distance to a number of restaurants and bars. It's absolutely perfect for what we were looking for! If I had to say, The only downside we've experienced is thin walls, you can hear your neighbors, but other than that, no complaints!
