Clearly this building does not appear to have been built to be a hotel as the interior rooms have awkward sliding glass doors that go into the interior lobby (but yet they said it was built as a Holiday Inn) So if you don't want the lobby people looking in your room then the curtains are always pulled closed so you have no window no light, barely working lights. In fact the light at the desk next to the tv looked like it was burning the outlet. I walked into the lobby at check-in and was immediately accosted by terrible cigarette smell (and I was wearing an N95 mask!) and when I signed all the paperwork it said no smoking so I even asked "WHY DOES IT SMELL LIKE CIGARETTES IN HERE?" and he said people don't follow the rules By "people" I guess he means his employees who stand at the door to the outside smoking. BOTH doors on the side of the building to the hallways were comprised of shattered glass which does not inspire safety. The smoke alarm was beeping in the hallway outside my door all night (24/7) which made my dog be on edge all night. They can't be bothered to replace a simple battery? There is no suitable dog yard or any bare amenity like a poop bag stand or trash can. The yards and parking lot are full of cigarette butts, which I'm sure you know will kill a dog. And definitely don't turn on the light in the bathroom because the fan goes on with it and makes a horrible loud whistling noise. Really you can't afford one more switch so you don't have to turn on the fan?
And this glorious pleasure was like $64 PLUS a $30 dog fee!! So over a hundred dollars when you have 2 dogs. Really I would have rather slept in the car and the dogs probably would have also. Keep driving - SiobhanFeb 6, 2019Dirty and unsafe
After I checked into this motel, I noticed that the lock on the side entrance was busted. I went to my assigned room, which was still dirty from a previous guest.
I immediately returned to the front desk without even entering the assigned room and asked for a refund. I had to wait for 10" because no clerk was to be found.
The motel is undergoing a major reconstruction, and is noisy and cavernous. It is also on the edge of town and quite isolated. It is cheap for a reason, although they have an outrageous $25 pet fee.
I had stayed here a year ago and it was fine (the pet fee was $10 then), but it seems to have changed hands. Avoid, avoid!
