Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge welcomes two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $20 per pet, per night (for stays up to 14 nights). Dogs may be left unattended in the room, but they must be crated to receive housekeeping services. Treats are provided at the front desk, and there are grassy areas with waste stations around the plaza. Al dogs must be declared prior to booking or a $250 penalty will be assessed. Cats are not permitted. For same day arrivals, please call 877‑411‑3436 to confirm availability of a pet-friendly room.

Fairmont Heritage Place Franz Klammer Lodge offers all the comforts of home and the service that discerning travelers have come to expect. Ideally located in the heart of Mountain Village, the Lodge is just steps away from the ski slopes, golf course, and gondola to the town of Telluride. The Lodge features two and three bedroom luxury residences and offers complimentary transportation from Telluride and Montrose airports or complimentary valet parking. Two bedroom/two bath residences are approximately 1 400 square feet; three bedroom/three bath residences are approximately 2 000 square feet. All residences feature alpine decor; jetted spa tubs; a steam shower; a fully equipped kitchen with Sub-Zero refrigerator and Viking oven; a living and dining area with natural gas fireplace; a private balcony; and a washer and dryer. The Lodge has a full service bar, fitness center, game room, outdoor pool, one indoor hot tub, four outdoor hot tubs, and a business center, all of which are open 24 hours. A small meeting room is also available, as well as the Himmel Spa, which offers a wide range of massages, facials, and body treatments. Other amenities include 24 hour concierge, complimentary ski and golf valet, pre-arrival itinerary planning (including restaurant reservations, spa appointments, babysitting services, and activity booking), and pre-arrival grocery shopping.

Rented a three bedroom suite at the Franz Klammer to get out of summer heat for a while. Telluride and Mountain Village is one of the most dog friendly areas in the country. Lots of green space and pet stations. Maybe it is the altitude or something, but the dogs really mellow out in the hills and are less territorial. FK is a large sprawling hotel in the center of Mountain Village. They have many guest/doggy suites and they provide doggy essentials. Walk to outside grass spots depends on room, can be a little convoluted at times
