      Clean yet overpriced

      I booked the Sonesta Miami airport after the Airbnb I planned to stay in was dirty. While the room was clean and spacious and my dog received some swag upon checking in. Despite the few positives, there were several aspects of my stay weren’t attended to by the staff. To start, the reservation specified that I had a pet however they initially put me in a non-pet room and then changed rooms. They didn’t ask if I had a rental car and I had to call the front desk to ensure the rental car would not be towed.

      The room was not cleaned for the duration of the stay and we had to flag down housekeeping in the halls to get clean towels and additional trash bags. During my stay I noticed that the line to check in/our was often long and took visitors at least 45 minutes. Overall, the staff was friendly yet worked beyond bandwidth, which contributed to my frustration as I would’ve expected a high caliber of customer service at a resort style hotel. If you’re in a bad situation it’s an ok option near the airport however I wouldn’t recommend this as the first choice.
