The Vinoy made us feel at home as soon as we walked into the newly renovated lobby on our way to check in. The pet rooms are located close to the Pet Relief area, which consists of beautifully manicured grass. At check in, were given our own brand new dog bowl. A special shout out to Carmen, from in room dining, who brought me special treats. The Vinoy is located along the water, so there are many interesting dog walks which you can take as well as a multitude of dog friendly restaurants & shops close by…
The Vinoy Hotel St Petersburg should NOT be listed as dog friendly. We used to book rooms for out of town guests to stay there along with dining at the restaurant often, however never again. Last evening we went to Paul’s Landing with dogs, one of which is a service dog with its vest on, but could not drink water from our own dog bowls or chew their dog chews. These pups were well behaved, sitting under the table and we were outdoors. We often stay at Marriott hotels with our dogs and have never incurred such an experience. We’ve always had positive encounters. Really sad this property is associated with the Marriott brand.

My pet room was in Paul’s Tower, which is next to the Pet relief area. The rooms have been newly renovated and are very spacious with an outdoor seating area/lanai attached to many of the rooms.
