  Great location

  Nice grassy areas for dogs. Easy access from I-10 with gas station and Waffle House next door.

  Very Reasonable

  Normally I'd ding a point for no breakfast, but they at least had coffee in the lobby and that's more important to me nowadays. Plus, I think I actually ended up saving more money by taking advantage of the discount offers they had set up with nearby dining places. Better to get cheaper meals 3x a day than just one free course, honestly. Oh, and I loved the quietness of this location. Will definitely be back here considering how fitful my sleep was when I stayed at bigger brand downtown hotels in Tallahassee.

  Basic Hotel

  Basic hotel, no breakfast. Room appears to have been recently updated and was relatively clean, fairly new vinyl floor is good choice for pet friendly space. Bathroom could use a little more maintenance. Hotel is far enough from highway so I didn't hear traffic all night. King bed was comfortable, I slept well! Plenty of green space to walk our dog. Also adjoining vacant grass lot. I would stay here again.

  Updated Room

  Easy access from the expressway. Clean, updated room with a comfortable bed. After 13+ hours traveling by car it just would be nice to be more welcoming when checking in. Ground floor room with car parking in front which makes load in and out very convenient. We would stay again.

  Perfect

  I had the best night sleep in ages, very comfortable bed, very clean, and great food down the street. The The man at the front desk the evening I checked it was wonderful! Very accommodating and very kind and helpful.

  Unreasonable Expectations

  Lol some of y'all are hilarious. What did you think you'd get for cheap rates? A Marriott? Come on, now. Personally was going to give this a 4/5 but seeing these people work hard only for some of you to give 1/5 bones is crazy. Hope to rebalance this to what their true value is. Had a nice extended stay here while I was working on a project and the staff gave me great rates after I started booking direct with them once my BF reservation was used up. No, it doesn't have the most amenities you'll ever see, but I loved the quietness compared to downtown and the pool/grassy area are great bonuses. Nearby food is more than satisfactory, too. Lighten up, people.

  Great value

  The room was a little old, a bit worn out, but it was clean, the bed was uber comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. Got my dog deposit back as advertised. Trustworthy. Will visit again!

  Consistently Consistent

  Of all the places I've traveled, I've often found it's these smaller, family-owned and run locations that take the most care and pride in their work. Whether I bring my little one or not, the owners, front desk agents, and housekeepers always treat me like family and do a great job of providing top-notch service and better-than-expected rooms. I used to stay at some of the bigger brand locations downtown, but I'd rather drive the few extra miles just so I know I am where I am welcome and can feel at home. Can't ever go wrong with these folks.

  Great in every way

  Location is perfect for back and forth travels, very clean room and very pet friendly. There is an enormous field to dog walk with a waste station. The manager was courteous and kind, cared about his guests.

  Quiet location, well maintained

  Bottom floor room; could park the car in front of the room. Well lit area for dogs to relieve themselves. Staff courteous.

  Good Location, Better People

  Not sure what issues some of these other people are having with this property, but it may be the best economical hotel I've stayed in in years. I had initially called a week before arrival asking if they were dog friendly and find to my great delight that pets stay free at Red Roof Inns and was also offered a lower price than what was showing on some third-party sites as an incentive to book direct. Hint: do it. Much easier check-in process because of it and you're guaranteed to not have to worry about lost reservations.

  I really liked that the hotel was in a quiet part of town with some nice attractions not too far away (I recommend the car museum across the street, it's great if you're a vintage buff like me) in addition to a variety of food places, some of which have a promotion for hotel guests (just ask the front desk beforehand, which was my error the first night). Everyone at the hotel was friendly; I even got to meet the manager and seeing that he personally works on some rooms himself definitely explains why the condition of the property was so nice. I don't come this way often as I'm from the Midwest, but if I ever travel even near the state in the future I'm absolutely reserving again at this location. Fellow pet owners, I suggest you consider doing the same.

  Forget it

  The bathtub was dirty hairs all in it. Floor was dirty as our feet were all dirty on the bottoms. Short on wash clothes and hand towels. Many more disgusting things to mention. Doesn't even deserve a bone.

  If I could give 0 bones, I would

  This place is dirty and disgusting. Sheets had something on them, bugs? Also had peoples hair and other fuzzy stuff on the sheets. I immediately felt something sticky on the floors that my shoes stuck to. I wiped it with a wet paper towel and it was black dirty. Under the table was something that appeared to be similar to sticky orange juice spots/spills. Who knows? We traveled 11 hours+ and were extremely tired, otherwise we would NEVER stay in a place like this. I absolutely cannot recommend. I have some pictures. Will try to add.

  Pick another place!

  Hotels in the Tallahassee area are expensive, so the $84 (+ $25 pet fee) was attractive here. It had good reviews from pet owners so we booked it. UGH! Noisy trucks in parking lot all night, thin walls, grounds were unkept and I didn’t feel safe here, especially walking my dog on the back of the property. I feel badly because it’s family owned but I’ll spend $50 more next time and skip the sketchiness.

  Never Been Let Down

  We have stayed here multiple times since the new management took over in 2018 and we have had a more than satisfactory stay every time. The staff is really friendly and the new rooms are wonderful. It may not look like much from the photos but this is definitely my dog's favorite hotel in town with all the green grass to run around on.

  Good location for passing through

  Nothing wrong with this hotel. They are doing room makeovers so we got put in an older room traveling with a pet. Still it was great for the price. Nearby restaurant, convenience store and Waffle House.

  Kind of worried

  At first I was extremely concerned that I chose a dump. Front office was a disaster, clerk was rude, other guests were complaining, etc. But we ended up having a good night’s sleep, grassy area was great & restaurant next door was excellent!

  Excellent All Around

  As mentioned by others, the green acres at the back of the property are great for pets and the staff was friendly. The room was great as well and I didn't have the smell/TV issues some here have mentioned. Great place to stay and will do so our next time in the area.

  Comfortable, Dog Friendly

  We found this place traveling home and calling several hotels in the area to confirm dog friendly availability. Nothing fancy but there is a nice large green space at the back of property that was great for “relief”. NOTE: the actual dog fee is $25 per night.

  Not what we had expected

  While the front desk person was helpful and professional and the location was good, our room was less than good. There was a mildew smell in the room and one of the lamps would not work at all, leaving the room dark. The roof was being replaced and the walkway was covered with debris from old or new shingles. We were given a different room but the same mildew smell was present in that room. We were grateful that the front desk clerk agreed to refund our payment.
