The hotel is old and run down but my room was OK on my outbound trip. Additionally the room was gross - stained sheets and towels, the floor was moldy, the shower handle would not turn on and there was was in gaping in the hole in the shower wall, the bright outdoor lights blazed through the inadequate blinds. There were also problems in getting the door to lock and I was concerned I was not secure overnight. Both the dog and I were up most of the night. It was disappointing to have had such a bad experience after an OK experience only a week before. The next morning I explored other nearby hotels as I don't plan to go back to the La Quinta.

I had no hot water in either faucets that leaked like a sieve. The front desk people were hopeless. This hotel needs to be razed. I moved across to Red Roof who like to have dogs!! Never let dogs stay there!! Feral cats everywhere and loose dogs running in and out of open rooms!! Unbelievable! And I have a degree in Hospitality Admin!! I highly recommend it be removed from your list!!! Please!!!

The service was horrible and the rooms was not great at all. It was dirty, smelled bad, the carpet was filthy because your feet turned black on the bottoms. No room service at all. The bathroom needs to be redone badly. Will try another hotel when in the area again.

It's nice that they don't charge a pet fee, but you're definitely trading in some basics, like cleanliness. There was also a LOT of noise from the people in the surrounding rooms. It woke us up constantly, we didn't get a decent night's sleep the whole time we were here.

As we evacuated from Louisiana due to Hurricane Ida, we made a reservation at this hotel. As we were entering the hotel the outside appearance was a run-down, unkept facility; when we got out of the car to walk the dogs, grass to walk dogs was with weeds, overgrown, not even room to walk the dogs. As I opened the room door; a roach on the floor carpet, and a flea by the bathroom sink. I proceeded to exit and was not going to spend a minute in that filthy hotel. I went to the front desk and complain, asked for a manager and was none according to front desk clerk I showed pictures I took inside of their room and front desk clerk. The lady didn’t apologize or looked at me. They charged $75 to my credit card upon checking in for incidentals! Which I was unaware and was told a refund was going to be issue but I’m still waiting for the refund.
Oh, also, there were 2 homeless men sleeping on the overgrown grass at their facility. I didn’t feel safe and was not going to bring my dogs and myself to sleep in that room. Do not book in this hotel, for the health of your pets, yours and safety. It was a horrible night traveling so far to get to this deplorable hotel to find another pet friendly hotel at that time, it started to rain hard, I was stressed out, the dogs were stressed out and we found another hotel nearby which was not the best but better than la Quinta. The hotel pictures on their website do not look like the real condition to the hotel. This place is a “dump”, I have never seen anything like this before! My rating is less than one bone. Is actually minus zero! I think this hotel should be reported to the state health department for inspection.

Wyndham should be ashamed to own this hotel. If I wasn't so tired, and hadn't already paid, we would have left. This is an old, run-down structure, and, although it is touted as "recently remodeled rooms", the walkways are filthy, and my poor dog had to walk in weeds to do his duty. Rooms have no fridge or microwave, and cheapest furnishings. The only bright spot was the hot shower. This hotel convinced us to buy a small motorhome. BringFido should not have this as a choice.

Stay here about twice a year each time it’s worse. Food is fine. Sheets seem clean. No idea what the pillows are made of. Furnishings are quite shabby. Garbage left in the weeds. Entry door looked like it had sewage thrown on it. Next time thru will stay somewhere else.

The place is run down. The floor was filthy. No excuse because it was vinyl and could be washed. On arrival I took a washcloth to see how clean the floor was and it was absolutely filthy.

Stayed in a suite. Check in was horrible. No cart for luggage. Elevator was outside and on the other side of the property from room. Breakfast was weak. Canceled the return reservation.

We have stayed in this hotel several times but we won't stay again. The outside was dirty and could use a good pressure washing. The rooms are clean but well worn. Dark outside and creepy at night. The staff was the only good thing about this place.

Run down and in need of rennovation. Room was clean and staff was friendly but area for dogs to relief themselves is inadequate and very dark. Hotel has outside entries - ours had a strong urine smell.

This hotel was right off the highway. Great hotel for the dogs! A lot of grassy areas to walk the dogs. Very clean hotel!! Would definitely recommend it. Always very happy staying at La Quinta Inn and Suites!
