  Not clean and loud

  When we first arrived the front desk clerk was very friendly. He initially booked us in a second floor room. The elevators are pretty inconvenient from the lobby, so if anyone had mobility issues, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We got to our second floor room and it hadn’t been cleaned, food in garbage and beds unmade.

  We went downstairs and requested a different room. The clerk was apologetic explaining that the computer said the room was marked as cleaned. He booked us another room on the first floor at the end of the hall by the emergency exit door. Though the beds were made the bathroom counters and floor did not look like they had been cleaned. The hallway smelled like microwaved fish and the room smelled musty. We were very tired from our trip so we decided to just deal with it and I cleaned the counters in the bathroom. The TV didn’t work.

  Someone kept going in and out of the emergency door located right next to our room trigging the alarm briefly. I reported this to the poor clerk at the front desk and he said he would check into it. I got the feeling he was overwhelmed. Thankfully our dogs were tired and didn’t react and the kids stopped going in and out around 11pm.

  The surrounding outside area was dirty with trash everywhere. All doors were listed as emergency exits so the only way to take our dogs out to the bathroom was through the front entrance which was pretty far to walk through. Thankfully our pups are housebroken. I’ve stayed at much nicer La Quintas, and would not stay here again.

  A lot going on

  The elevator was broken and the room was upstairs at the furthest point, dragging the dog up there 2x for the door handle to be placed backward so you can't get in without knowing this. Additionally as a single woman having an adjoining room with 6 adult migrants going in and out all day/night and taking phone calls in the hallway. The clerk indicated the hotel was additionally a home to workers and it appeared that the local residents were using the pool. I've stayed here before and it was better but never again. Last but not least breakfast was hastily prepared and over an hour behind. Sleeping in the car is a better idea.

  Convenient off I-75. Good large breakfast area. Clean. I will definitely stay again.

  Trashy hotel

  Really dissatisfied with the whole deal. Room was sub standard, tv did not work, heat was not working, and hotel was party central with doors slamming all night. Would have been better off sleeping in the car.

  Okay stay

  Newly renovated. Seems like their systems and employees are still redeveloping. Outside doors all alarmed, so all dog walks are via the main lobby entrance. Bedding is excellent.

  One and Done

  This was the worst hotel I've have stayed in over the past 35 years. The room was not clean, the bed had a divot in it, major water stains above the bed, bathroom was in disrepair, parking lot was filthy.

  Right off the interstate

  The location was great. They are doing some remodeling inside so some things were not available (ice machines). The TV in our specific room did not function, which was a bummer. We only stayed one night and arrived late so it was not a big deal.

  Hotel in transition?

  Staff was friendly and helpful, but all outside doors, other than the main entrance, were closed which meant we had to walk the dog through the Inn. No real nice place (grass) to take our dog outside. Noisy room. So, not great but not terrible.

  Disappointing

  I stay at La Quinta a lot because of their dog-friendly policies. This was a midway point on my way home from Florida. It was dirty, a little dank smelling, and I got the feeling it was barely cleaned between guests, if at all. I used a cloth to wipe up some spilled water and it came back black. The night desk attendant was unhelpful and reeked of weed. On another note, when I mentioned conditions to Assistant manager at check out, he said they changed management and are now in the process of renovating and refreshing everything. Hopefully when that's complete it will be a viable option. I stayed The Macon West La Quinta location on way to FL. It was marginally better, maybe 3 bones.

  Could be a bit cleaner. But the beds were comfortable and our dog was welcome. It would be nice if there was a good place to walk. In all it was adequate and the price was reasonable.

  Disgusting

  This was the worst La Quinta we have ever stayed at. The reception desk lady was uninterested at best. The entrance way was tired, the halls were dingy, with dirty and marked baseboards and flooring. Our room (I had upgraded to a suite) had cobwebs, and was full of tiny flying insects, which were flying all around us, and our little dog. The windows were filthy. Our view out the window was an overflowing garbage bin. We overheard another lady telling the receptionist there was a homeless person hanging around one of the back doors with his pants done. This place was unacceptable on so many levels!!!
  We left immediately, and booked a room at the nearby Hilton. We were unable to get a refund because we didn't book through La Quinta directly.

  Worst La Quinta ever seen

  Arrived tired after a 16 hour drive. Booked two rooms and found most rooms on floor unlocked and propped open. One of the rooms was never cleaned. Complained to desk staff and were given a new room. Replacement room was even worse with garbage all over. Hallway has some sort of flood because the carpet was soaked wet. Bugs found all over hallways and staircases. Wonder how long it’s been since the place was even cleaned. Couldn’t stay here. Requested refund and left without staying.

  Awful!

  I arrived at 530 on and found a sign on the door saying they were under construction… I entered feeling a bit Leary… then when I went to check in I could not find a staff member. There was a note on the desk saying if I needed help to call a number. I called the number and was told he would get there shortly- 29 min later he finally arrived and checked me in. I went to the room with my dogs and got settled in… the sheets where filthy, full of hair and dirt, when I went to the front desk to ask for clean sheets he wasn’t apologetic or surprised and gave me clean sheets but did not offer to have a staff make up the bed.

  Then the tv did not work, the carpet on the floor was soaking wet in an area of the room, and the noise of the avowed when the neighborhoods showered was as if they were in my room. It was awful but I was exhausted- so I made the bed and slept in my clothes for fear of bugs. Bathroom was dirty, hair In The tub and sink. I suggest people go elsewhere. Had I not been so tired from diving for 14 hours I would have left. I suggest you don’t unpack before checking the sheets and cleanliness of the bathrooms.

  Dump

  This place is one of the worst dumps I’ve ever stayed in, and trust me when I say I’ve stayed in some real dumps! I’ve actually stayed in a bunch of La Quintas. While they definitely are not a high end hotel, they are normally a clean place to sleep and rest from the road. This place was flat out gross… the floor was sticky, there were literally bugs flying around. I’m also pretty sure there were people living here, which is never a good thing at a hotel. Avoid this place at all costs.

  Filthy: Non-COVID Compliant

  It was absolute filth. The desktops had cup rings on them. It had not been dusted in weeks, mold in the bathroom, pictures on walls had water damage. The room phone was so disgusting I would not use it to call the front desk. Long black hair in the bed when we pulled the covers back. The tv did not work. Had I not taken my medications as we came in the room, we would have left.

  Nice room, but needs better cleaning

  Our room was nice and smelled okay, but there was a lot of dust on the lamps. The outside hallways throughout needed carpet cleaning and deodorizing. One guest had a bully breed that was overreactive and sort of aggressive towards our smaller dogs, but that was not the fault of the hotel. The elevator was very small. The outdoor pool was also closed.

  This hotel was recently remodeled.We were given a 1st floor unit not far from the front door. Very spacious and lots of grassy areas on the property and a stones throw from the interstate but no noise.

  Disappointed

  Check-in was easy. Room was okay. There was water on the floor when you first enter the room and when I went to wipe it up, the floor was so filthy like it had never been mopped. And there were stains on the sheets. Would not recommend this hotel.

  Rooms cleanliness is fair but general areas are filthy. Place needs to step up cleaning to be viable place to stay at.

  Should be a zero

  Dirty and stinky. First room they gave us had urine all over toilet seat, mold on shower curtain and dirty bedsheets. They moved us to another room that had a door that wouldn’t lock, light fixtures without bulbs and terrible stale odor.

  My only complaint is my dog spilled some water on a tile floor. When I clean it up the floor was filthy. They need to pay a little closer attention to cleaning. The beds, bathrooms and rest of the property appeared to be well taken care of.

  We were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. No soap or shampoo in the bathroom and it wasn’t very clean. The door to the outside was propped open as the access lock didn’t work. No coffee available in the lobby and no breakfast at all. The bed was comfortable however. I don’t believe we would stay there next time.

  Room was gross and smelled like and ashtray...

  This La Quinta site has apparently gone down hill since many of the positive reviews. The room was a non-smoking room and it smelled like a smoking lounge, had mold in many places. The smoke detectors were removed and hidden behind the TV. Once the maintenance staff replaced them they found one of them was bad, and they did not have any replacements, so I guess we took our chances that night... I felt dirtier leaving than I did after a day on the road with the family and 3 dogs. This location should be removed from the BringFido site. Yes, they were accommodating to pets, but not humans.

  The room was very dirty. Cat litter was in the carpet and on the wood floor. Every surface was dirty. My wife wiped down the microwave with a Lysol wipe and it turned black, so did The counter tops. We will avoid this place in the future.

  Great room!! Was more like a suite for $100 for the night. Breakfast was served from 6-9 am. Friendly staff. Only one issue I reported to the desk at checkout. Their was carpet in the bedroom area and had a smell. She was courteous and informed me she would make note for house keeping to clean carpet.

  BringFido makes it very easy to find a pet-friendly place to stay. The app was easy to use & when I needed to make a correction in a reservation, the Customer Support was excellent. The hold was short, the agent was friendly & helpful, & they were able to fix my issue with no problem. Confirmation email was almost immediate & a refund that I needed happened promptly, as well. Great Service!

  Great room, but noisy neighbors

  Our doggie is not used to traveling and staying away from home - this was his first time. The stay was fine until about 9 pm when a couple of doggies checked into the next room. Because there was an adjoining door, they could really hear and smell each other. And they were all trying to be the top dog. I was finally able to put a towel under the adjoining door, and that helped. And, because we had the suite, we then closed the bedroom door. Eventually, all the doggies calmed down, but it was just a bad couple of hours for all of us.

  Absolutely disgusting

  This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We discovered dog poop in three areas of the carpet that had been dragged all over the room. The hotel was shabby and smelled of pet odour and mold. It was dirty and needed a paint job and cleaning. Many other things too numerous to mention ...... Why this hotel has 4 stars is a mystery to us.

  Nice hotel lobby and grate price, with no additional pet fee! However; the room smelled like a dog grooming location- had a dog smell. I get it’s dog friendly, but it should still feel like a fresh and clean room. No microwave or fridge in the room, either.

  A friend of ours had ants invade their dog's food down the hall. Doggie poop bags were empty and dog feces were not picked up all over the grounds. We also had problems with our keys being deactivated for our room multiple times and it was not us putting them next to our phone, other cards, etc.

  Was a really nice stay. Just one night stay over. Nice that they accepted our fur baby. Courteous staff. Very convenient to restaurants and just off I-75 which made it convenient for our travel plans.

  Pleasant and courteous staff. Check in was less than 2 minutes. Great breakfast. Clean updated room convenient to walking area for my 2 fur babies! Would highly recommend!

  Fantastic!!

  We spent one night here on our way to Florida. The girl at the front desk was so helpful and nice that my husband gave her a $20 tip. She asked right away if we had dogs and when we said yes she said she would put us on the ground floor so it would be easier for them. Our room had 2 doors, one to the hallway and the other to an enclosed courtyard. It was great, and there was no extra charge for having the dogs!! 💕
