    The Inn & Tavern at Meander welcomes two dogs of any size in designated rooms for an additional fee of $25 per stay. Dogs must be crated and the front desk notified if left unattended in rooms. There are 80 acres of walking trails and a dog rinse station on the property.

    The Inn & Tavern at Meander is a beautiful 1766 historic country inn offering bed and breakfast accommodations and casual dinning at our colonial themed tavern, surrounded by 80 acres of rolling landscape in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With its historically significant past and its bucolic location on a hill with spectacular Blue Ridge Mountain views and breathtaking sunsets, the Inn truly exudes the essence of Virginia. The ten guest rooms & cottages combine all the grace and charm of yesterday with the amenities and services of today.

      Beautiful Countryside

      Our cottage was dog friendly including a basket of towels and treats. Lots of grassy areas to walk including trails and pet stations to help with clean up. Good to hey away from screens and explore nature. Porch dining with heaters to accommodate doggie diners.

      Amazing place for you and your pup to relax

      We were welcomed by the management and taken good care of. Breakfast was delicious and the cook asked whether our dogs wanted scrambled eggs too. We truly enjoyed the location, beautiful grounds, and accommodations available. Highly recommend especially if traveling with furry friends.
