  Great place and very dog friendly

  We had a great experience. They gave us a frisbee and some treats when we checked in. They allow the dogs to be left alone in the room if you want to and they can even go into the indoor pool room (they are allowed on the deck not in the actual pool). Lots of grass around the hotel for the dogs to go to the bathroom. Love this place!

  Clean, Modern and Pooch-Friendly

  While this isn’t oceanfront, the bay side view rooms are stunning with balconies. This is by far the most dog-friendly hotel we’ve stayed at (and returned to). The rooms are super-clean and modern. Dogs are welcome anywhere in the hotel, including the lounge, with the exception of in the pool. We’ve come here off-season and typically drive to the boardwalk and beach area. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are all well-appointed. I had read the live music from the bar could be loud, but our last stay we were on the 2nd floor, right above the music and it wasn’t loud at all. Quite enjoyable and relaxing. Highly recommended. We will definitely return again for our off-season visits.

  Good option, but lots of walking

  No pet fee, which was nice and unusual for the area. Offseason parking was $10/night. Clean rooms, lovely water views, in a lively hotel. We were on the 2nd floor and could hear the bar’s music until about 10pm, and that was a quiet night. Just something to be aware of if you’re hoping for quiet. Most restaurants nearby were closed for the season, but the 45th St. Taphouse next door is open. Balcony in the room was pet safe and the staff gave us a gift bag with a dog bone and poop bags. Getting to the small pet relief area took a bit of walking which could be tough for older critters.

  The grassy pictures you see are not for your pet. The pet area is a small grassy space between the hotel and a business across the parking lot at the side of the hotel. The side door is exit only (no return access), and getting downstairs from just the second floor was 3 fights of stairs. We ended up taking the small main elevator back out the lobby, then around the parking lot. I even asked an employee if I was missing something closer. Nope. Oh, and be careful of the unmarked grate that’s right outside of the pet area that’s most certainly a dangerous hazard for small dog legs.

  Great spot

  Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My dog was allowed everywhere except in the pool. Nice happy hour at the bar with live music on Saturday. Definitely recommend Aloft OC.

  Pleasant Stay!

  I chose this hotel for a two night stay because it is dog friendly and had good reviews. We were able to check in early. The room was clean, bed and pillows were comfortable and staff was friendly towards my dog. We had a bay side room on 5th. floor. When in the room I left balcony door open which allowed a nice breeze into the room and Lily could go out as she pleased. There is a small grassy area at the front of the hotel for dogs to relieve themselves complete with a plastic bag dispenser and waste can. I was surprised to see a German Shepherd one morning as I believed the hotel had a 40 lb. weight restriction for dogs. All other dogs I saw were small. Location is good. I did think the parking lot was on the small side. All in all a good stay and we would stay again. The only disappointment was the hotel was out of the welcome gift bags they give to the dogs upon arrival. Oh well, next time!

  Friendly staff

  From the booking to the front desk greeting, through our stay (1 night) everything was perfect. Cleanliness, modern hotel interior, nice bar, dog treats, big screen tvs in room and in lobby/bar to watch the Eagles move onto the Super Bowl. We highly recommend this hotel to everyone and their pet(s).

  Excellent Dog Friendly Vibes

  Top of the best dog friendly hotels. Off-season trip to unwind. Lots of pets around, super clean beautiful new looking rooms (a bit on the small side though), and no pet fee!

  Great location and so CLEAN!

  We had a great stay. When they say they are dog friendly they really mean it. Everyone at the front desk welcomed our pup. There was a large bowl of water and a large bowl of milk bones at the entrance. Even though the area was congested with businesses, they still provided a great grassy area for the pups. We would stay here again.

  Aloft dog friendly

  Extremely dog friendly. The hotel was ok. Very clean but some broken lights. Strange layout. The balcony views were amazing, but were so close together so there was no privacy. Overall, we enjoyed it!

  They really mean “dog-friendly!”

  Everything was easy, from check-in to dog-walking spots. The rooms was spotless and very thoughtfully designed. We’ll definitely be back!

  Great Hotel

  We're here during beach off season but It's more than I expected. Great location, clean, quiet, friendly staff, both pet and people friendly. We'll be back! I don't care for the microwave outside the room...but everything else is fine.

  Super pet friendly

  All staff was super friendly and welcoming to our dog. There is a grassy area by the parking lot with poo bags and there are water and treat bowls at the entrance. The hotel is clean and modern. We are going to return!

  Great place for good old Balu

  Aloft Ocean City is a wonderful hotel for an expat dog-family living in DC, in need of a winter break at the sea. Staff is great, very welcoming and the hotel is super good, and Balu loved the treats from the hotel staff… so five bones it must be!

  Offseason fun

  Everyone was super friendly and welcoming to our puppy. There is a grassy area out front of the hotel with poo bags and there are water and treat bowls at the entrance.

  The staff was so welcoming and helpful - provided a list of recommended local restaurants and indicated pet friendly location - The Taproom located next door is a great place to start! In addition, they provided a pet welcome gift, lots of treats and fresh water when pets arrive!

  Great everything

  Greeted with a doggy bag for our little Larry boy! The staff was wicked friendly. The dog was allowed in all areas (except the pool water obviously). Would definitely recommend to any dog owner/lover!

  Better than expected

  Stayed for one night in January 2021. Great experience. Came here with my dog and husband and the hotel treated us gracefully. They even provide my puppy a dog treat goodie bag which came to my surprise. Room was well sanitize and clean. Plenty of room for the pup to enjoy. Will love to stay here again.
